Very poor experience - The "emergency" roof patch took 6 weeks to complete, and the new install, while the roof went up fine, they were unable to put back my old gutters and wanted another $7K to put up new gutters. Almost 45% of the cost of the entire new roof, just for gutters. So now we have no gutters, and canceled their services on another home. Just not the company for us.

We are so happy with our new metal roof installed by Horch roofing! I had even thought about going out the other night to look at it again with a flashlight, but my wife thought that was silly. “Morning will be here soon enough.” Such a fantastic crew. All work. No yakking. No music blaring away. Super courteous. Very informative. Very neat. And they even cleared several inches of ice off the roof before starting the job. The real beauty part of it is that I no longer have to rake the roof in winter. The snow just slides right off after a few days. At 76 years old, that was getting to be a real drag. Alex Gaeth gave me the impression that I was in good hands. He was knowledgeable and did not try to "sell" me anything I didn't need. Meg O'Donnell was upbeat and "sunny" whenever I spoke with her. She gave me the impression that she would take care of any issues or concerns I had. The young men who worked on my house were amazing! Six of them never stopped from early morning until after dark. Some were on the roof, some were carry things, some were cleaning up during a very cold day with a blizzard approaching. One fella was on the peak of my roof finishing the job after dark wearing a headlamp! Horch has unbelievable, skilled laborers--and I hope they get paid enough!

Excellent! Extraordinary work ethic. Stripped the old shingles off one-third of the house roof in the morning and re-shingled in the afternoon. Started at 8am, finished at 5pm. Everyone knew their job and worked almost continuously. It was stunning to watch the team at work. Price a bit high, but worth getting the roofing done in a day.

The sales representative came first, analyzed our needs, clearly presented what would be done, and how much it would cost. This was followed by a written estimate, and request for a 20% deposit which was very reasonable. The sales representative was always available for any questions. Alec also made possible any changes in the job plan and revised the projected cost as required. So we always knew that the project was on plan. Then we were turned over to Meg O'Donnell in the operations department. She kept us informed of timing, when the roofing crew would arrive including any psot project work. Horch has an amazingly well trained crew. They did the entire job in approximately two days. Our shrubs and plants close to the house were completely protected. There was no damage from the falling shingles being removed. Heavy packages of new roof shingles were carefully raised to the roof and applied. Mitchell, the supervisor of our roughly 6 person crew, made sure that everything was done according to specs. One of the things that impressed me the most was the quietness of the crew. No standing around talking to each other. Each member knew his responsibilities and so Mitchell did not have to spend any time explaining things to his people. We just had a sense of confidence that Horch would get the job done. Another key service in this job was that at the end of each workday Mitchell's technicians walked around our house two or three times, and picked up every stray shingle, any nails that fell, and any debris from packaging of the shingles. Not just the last day but every day. I couldn't believe it so I walked around the house after Horch left, and couldn't find one stray shingle. Finally, after the job was finished, we experienced 4 severe wind storms here along the Maine coast over a period of a month. Just bad luck. From two of those storms 60 mile per hour winds off Penobscot Bay lifted a number of new shingles from the roof. Not the fault of the installation but of heavy winds blowing from 4-6 hours before the shingles had time to permanently adhere themselves to the base of the roof. Horch's original crew who did our job came very promptly in both cases in the following days, and repaired our roof where the damage occurred. They also provided us with a package of spare shingles for any future incidents over the years. And Mitchell, without our asking, carried the heavy shingle package up a flight of stairs to the second floor of our garage for storage. What really impressed me the most was the refined package of the whole job. It happened in the best way with no slips along the way. That doesn't happen by chance. It happens with planning, hiring and training really capable personnel, and executing with precision. Also with excellent customer communication from caring people. I can't remember when we have experienced a project so well done. Believe me, if Horch had dropped the ball somehow, I would have written it here. But they didn't

I knew I needed a roof soon, but not this soon. My friend called and said the rain was coming in thru the kitchen lite fixture. I contacted Devin at Horsch and he honored the estimate they gave me 6 months earlier. They return phone calls promptly, and were quite professional. They got on the job ASAP. From all the comments from friends and relatives, it looks great. And they did it in one day! Thank you to Devin, the crew on the roof, Alexi, Megan and all the gals I spoke with in the office.

the roofing work went very well. It looks nice and they were fast and neat. Would recommend them for roofing. The leaf guards, however, are not installed so that they slant to allow the pine needles to shed from them. I am elderly and cannot clean gutters myself so had these guards installed. Now the guards are piled with pine needles and need to be cleaned anyway. I am very disappointed.

Horch Roofing did an outstanding job. I am totally satisfied. Additionally, over the years they have come right away when I have had problems that involved the old roof in some way. I cannot really speak to their prices as roofing is not an area I know well. The choice I had was to use an individual roofer or to use a company with an outstanding reputation and that is always going to be here. I chose the latter. The crew that came on roofing day was impressive. These folks are professional and really know their job. My roof, which is challenging as it has many different planes, was done in two days--and that work includes the garage roof. Additionally, I was considering a metal roof, and Horch helped me decide not to go that direction because all the different planes of the roof and the shingle-removal on the places where the roof line met the house line would have made the job way too expensive. I feel like I got really good, honest advice and was never pressured in any way to hurry my decision process.

Horch roofers were efficient, courteous and very respectful of our needs. It was very reassuring to know Horch was there to help should a problem arise.

Job well done, and quick. One week to completely strip and reshingle a full house and barn. Job was done in middle of winter with snow on the ground. Once spring arrived, they came back and cleaned up entire yard of nails, etc.

It went very well. Their salesperson was great and the project manager was amazing. The owner was great with working with us. The only thing that we really didn't like was that we made a down payment in June and the work didn't finish until November. They did tell us it could take that long but I feel like it was due to the fact I did not have a shingle roof. Another reason for this was probably due to the insulation company having to work with the roofing.

We were not at the location for the removal or new insulation but contacts with Hoorch went well and they were prompt with one correction and also need to reseal around chimney while insulation was being installed.....Very good people to work with....up and down the line from sales to job supervisor to work crew and to owner of company. The most difficult aspect was the time line...signing, with down payment, in June but not getting it done until late October/November. We were told this at the time but hopeful it would be sooner.

Prior to the start of the job, I worked with Devin Deabler. He provided me with a quote, and then updated it after I chose the roofing material and skylights. He is very professional, and a pleasure to work with. Rick and Chris did the roof and skylight installation. They removed existing skylights, which were leaking, and built new curbs for the new skylights and installed them. They installed new EPDM (rubber) roofing material (this material is recommended for low-pitch roofs). When the roofing was finished, they put new flashing on and put a nice soffit on the exterior of the house to hide the flashing. The entire job took 5 days, which includes the time it took to build the skylight curbs. Per our agreement, we are responsible for the interior finish work, but that is not expected to be a major project. Only some drywall panels are needed to cover the curbs that needed to be built for the skylights. All old roofing materials and skylights were recycled. and the whole area was left clean when they finished. Subsequently, four days after the roof was finished, it rained over 6 inches, which was a great test to see if the roof leaked. I am pleased to say that there are no leaks and I am completely happy with the job they did. I would definitely use them for any future roofing needs.

in the first windstorm of over 30mph large sections of roof blew off It took them over one year to get the manufactures warranty and they fought delivering it every step of the way There have been several leaks which they will not take responsibility for They ripped off" an existing heat tape installation that they will not replace I contracted with them through a General Contractor, Maine Coast Construction, but I was quite surprised that Hotch Would not " step up to the plate" and deal with the problems . I paid extra money to have the roof installed exactly as they suggested.

The experience with them was excellent, great and very good. They did a great job. Not only did they do what they promised to do but they also did a couple of extra services which we did not asked them to do; they just saw some things that needed to be done. The house was great and we were very pleased with the whole experience. The price was reasonable because we got a quote from two other companies and they were higher. They made time for us despite the crowded schedule because the weather had been so bad.

We were very pleased with Horch. Their workers were professional and pleasant. They worked very diligently and with great focus. The team of workers, under foreman Michel Robinson, worked very well together. They clearly took pride in their work. The roof was a difficult one to manage, full of angles and high peaks, but it was not an issue for them. They cleaned up thoroughly after every day, and took care not to damage plants. A day after they were finished, another Horch employee came out to inspect their job and make sure the clean up was thorough. The customer service was amazing. This is an excellent company.

The crew on site were professional, kept me informed of progress and any concerns. Was very happy that project was completed without any surprises and there were no additional costs. Weather was horrible throughout, yet they showed up every day and did what they could. Project was completed without any down time or lapses. Management was always available and answered questions and returned phone calls promptly. I would highly recommend Horch Roofing.
