My husband and I were very happy with the work. We would not hesitate to have this company fix or replace a roof. There were no surprises, very professional. could reach contractor before and after job was done. Most importantly no leaks. Very pleasant to deal with. Came in within estimate. Started and finished according to the plan. They were good at communicating. Crew was experienced and knew how to do the work correctly.

Any company that can not submit an honest quote is not very professional. And any company that refuses to give an honest quote along with another roofing company has something to hide.

Responded immediately to request for visit and estimate. Came to look at job the next day. Had a lot of ideas. Never submitted an estimate, despite repeated phone calls.

On time, to specification, and within budget. What more could you ask for? How about working with someone who is interested in the job, intelligent, stays in touch and gets the job done. Dan was all of these - a real pleasure to work with and obviously in touch with what makes for a positive customer experience. He stayed in touch, which I really appreciated when the weather didn't cooperate with the schedule, kept me appraised of the status, and took time with me. I am very, very pleased with the work and will ask Dan to bid on residing the house next spring.

Dan Savage was on the job himself the whole time and was prompt, professional, and went above and beyond in fixing my problem. After the whole roof was stripped it became clear that my leaking ceiling was not due to the roof directly but also due to leaks in and around the atrium door that lead to the roof top deck that had covered the roof. He told me that the whole door would have to come out and be reframed as both the header and footer were rotted. He was careful to show me the actual damage and explain in detail what needed to be done to fix the problem and prevent it from happening again. I was a little concerned about the work that needed to be done on the door as I had hired Dan based on his roofing experience and wondered if I should have the carpentry work done by a carpenter. Dan assured me he could handle the problem and went ahead to totally remove the 10 foot atrium door ( with a helper) and rebuild all the necessary framing as well as the inside finish molding. He did a beautiful job on the door ( which closed correctly for the first time in 10 years when he was done) and then went on to finish the roof which was a complicated job due to the many angles of the abutting roofs. He did a beautiful job on the roof also. The part I like most about working with Dan is that he does nothing by rote but instead thinks through each challenge with a creative solution that works. It rained heavily for several days after he finished my roof and no leaks!! I'd hire him again in a second.

I had a wet spot in my bedroom ceiling beneath where the bathroom vent pipe exits the roof. Called B and D and Dan Savage, the owner, came out within a few days to evaluate the problem. He confirmed that the rubber boot around the vent pipe was cracked. While up there, he also determined that squirrels had eaten much of the lead flashing around the chimney, that the chimney cap was not securely fastened to the chimney, and that there were a couple of other small problems with the cap shingles on the dormers. He immediately siliconed around the vent pipe, the chimney, and the cap shingles to temporarily stop the leaks. A couple of weeks later, he returned and, while his assistant did the preliminary work on the roof, he took a shingle and went to four suppliers trying to find a match. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the shingles was no longer in business, so he had to use a slightly darker color. However, the new shingles were all used on the back of the house and even those are not really visible to the eye. He arrived about 8:15 A.M. and was done by 12:15. He left the work area clean. The thing I liked about working with Dan is that he did not try to sell me a new roof. Instead, he told me how much it would cost to fix the original problem. Then he told me about the other things I might want to consider having done. To illustrate his findings, he took digital pictures while on the roof so he could show me what he was talking about. I never felt he was trying to sell me anything we did not need. In the end, we had him fix all of the issues. At some point in the future, I am going to use Dan again to install some skylights in my bonus room. I would recommend him to anyone with a roofing problem.

This was the first time I had used their services. It went well. They gave an estimate and it was right on. They came on time, did extra work for no extra charge. The quality of work was really good and he was consciencious. The owner was on the job and was very knowledgeable. Customer satisfaction was really important to them. I would recommend them to anyone.

From the estimate, to the work, through to the cleanup, Dan and his crew were completely professional. They showed up on time, the work was performed just as described in the contract, and they left no mess behind. The final result looks really good.
