Description of Work: I had two 1860's oil lamps that were converted to electric many years ago rewired. It took 3 or 4 weeks for the job to be done, but that was the time frame I was given when I dropped them off. They were returned to me in beautiful condition.

The Lamp Repair Shop did a wonderful job.
Description of Work: I have a lamp from the 60's that has two goose-neck extensions stemming from a singular pole and base. This lamp was in great need of rewiring. Not only did The Lamp Repair Shop implement an entire 'wiring' for the lamp, they also attached two beautiful new light bulb sockets at the ends of the two goose-neck extensions. I can now utilize my lamp without any worries of electrical risks.

The Lamp Repair Shop was recommended to me by a friend. This chandelier was won at an Ohio auction back in 1995 and stored away in a warehouse until 2011 (when I remembered it). It was filthy and unfortunately, I tried to and quot;clean it upand quot; a bit, removing years of a lovely patina on the darned thing! Upon walking into the Lamp Repair Shop, I knew that I was in the right place. There are two guys who (own?), operate and do all the repairs. They should have their own reality show because they are so funny. I could hang out in their shop for hours at a time just to listen to them. Not only do they repair lamps but they sell a variety of items in the shop. There are old and new lamps. Nautical, Victorian, Country, Modern - you name it, they have it. They also have some very unique (green and recycled/reused) items that they make. For instance, coat hangers made from items discovered on the beach or old farmhouses. Very unique and fun things. When they saw my chandelier and I explained what I wanted, they had me in stitches laughing. Basically, as stated, my lamp went from Tudor to Country (as they claimed). They removed all the frills and dangly bits from the fixture and as you can see from the picture, modernized it to the look that we wanted. I know that there are plenty of inexpensive lighting fixtures that we could have bought that would have fit the bill......but I wanted to finally use this light after all those years of being stored away. It had sentimental meaning (happy memories from that auction). They knew what I wanted and they did it. I was so happy with their work that I recommend them to anyone in need of a light repair. I'll definitely use their service again. Awesome shop, great prices and some of the BEST customer service that I have ever received. Go in and see for yourself!
Description of Work: I had won a very old wrought iron chandelier at an auction back in 1995 and this fabulous shop changed an old tudor looking (very heavy) chandelier into a farmhouse looking chandelier.
