Three young men and a truck arrived exactly on time. They were professional, courteous, fun, and willing to do anything I asked of them. It was a very long day entailing many steep stairs and some very heavy pieces of furniture. They went out of their way to protect some of my most precious items - example: even though one dresser was extremely heavy they carried it rather than turning it on its side to put it on a dolly b/c they knew I had 2 jewelry drawers in it that would have spilled over. We will be moving more items in the spring, and SC Moving will be my first call!

They were thoughtful, listened well to my directions and responded kindly to my special requests. They did a great job following my labeling on my boxes (ie, everything labeled basement went to the basement in our new home). Nothing was damaged (despite my mediocre packing job!). They worked hard and clearly new what they were doing.

I called Saturday morning, received a quote for a flat fee for a small move, they came Saturday afternoon, earlier than they said they would, they were very helpful and fast, moved things to several different places in the house, and were gone again in a flash. It was a little pricey but so worth it so my daughter didn't have to unload everything after a 114 hour drive and could return the van right away.

Chris's moving men were very professional. Everything was wrapped. They moved very quickly and packed the truck just like a jigsaw puzzle. In the unloading process, it came off twice as fast. very satisfied with the quality, professionalism, and the price of the move. SC Moving and their affiliated cleaning service did an outstanding job on all tasks for this whole-house local move. For this large period home they provided two crews working in parallel and two trucks to support the effort. One crew focused on the three floors of living space and the other crew focused on basement cleanout and consolidation of boxes and other belongings that were being left in place during the upcoming rental period. All furniture items were wrapped with pads and large plastic wrapping sheets. They also supplied 75 plastic storage bins (highly recommended, number negotiable) for a very modest rental charge well ahead of the move date so we could pack many of our belonging in these (including fragile items). They picked up the bins once they had been emptied at our next residence. Chris Iankoulov, the owner, managed all the loading and furniture prep operations as well as assisting in the moving of many items. They were professional, attentive to avoiding damage to belongings being moved as well as the house interior, and their fee was very reasonable. The companion cleaning service was priced separately ($350). They were very efficient and thorough, and they also did an excellent job of cleaning the dual-fuel professional kitchen range (electric oven, gas-fired cooktop). I would recommend SC Moving and their affiliated cleaning service without hesitation. I have used them for an other whole-house move in May 2014 (interstate move within New England, utilizing two trucks) and an interior consolidation move in August 2014 (Cape Elizabeth property). We intend to call on them for future moves in New England as they occur.
