Stark difference between Time Warner service a week earlier when Time Warner tech received calls every 15 minutes to ensure he was on schedule to get to his next appointment and live up to their advertising campaign. We were not rushed by Geek Squad to hurry up and ask our questions as was the case with Time Warner.
Description of Work: Recommended alternative solution to our home wireless network, solved printer issue, taught us how to change network passwords.

+ -1 moreMy computer guy retired a couple of years ago. This year he suddenly disappeared and I don't know where he went. So I used Best Buy and they did a lousy job. They lost my emails and it was just awful. I wouldn't go back to them again for any type computer service. I've heard other people say that Best Buy wasn't very good. It's a big squad. There are full tied up with the bureaucratic things having you sign all these legal papers saying that they are not responsible for anything that they didn't turn to for what you want. I bought the computer in October and struggled through November. I don't remember the price because they were so confusing about what they were doing and what I was planning for. They fully spoilt my new computer and my old one. I had not transferred stuff from my old to the new and they spoilt both of them. They didn't really know what I wanted. My old computer died and I knew exactly what I wanted and I told them exactly what I wanted. There was a big problem with communication between the customer, the guy at the front desk and the guy at the back desk. I was just frustrated with the whole thing. I'm still having trouble and I still haven't restored my email list. They failed me pretty completely. The quality of work was poor. Eventually I did get something straightened out but they took several visits. Some of them tried to be responsive but the overall system was not functioning. Some of them are professional people but their whole system is faulty. It's kind of hard to back down an individual but I think it's just the way they do business which is not effective.
Description of Work: I used Best Buy in November for fixing up my computer.

+ -1 moreI am into high-end audio and media and so they come out the next day and spent about 2-3 hours, they were very thorough and very polite.
Description of Work: I bought a Sony 32" TV and Playstation III, and I had the Geeksquad come out and hook it into my surround sound and the laser disc player. I went back to Best Buy because they had the best buy!
