A-Best Window

This company is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. The person who measured for my 12 window replacement estimate Lindsay, measured incorrectly. This caused the disaster from that point forward. When the installers came, the crew were unfriendly and appeared like they were hungover or on drugs. They noticed the error by Lindsay within the first 10 minutes. They told me that the windows could still be installed. However, it would require capping on the exterior due to Lindsay,s mismeasurements. OK, I thought, mistakes happen. I allowed them to move forward, and I proceeded to go to work for the day. I came back home 8 hours later to find the inside area totally trashed. Nails and insulation all over the floors and my driveway. I had to pick up approximately 30 nails as well as caulking and insulation on the carpeting inside my home and outside in the driveway. Think twice before hiring!

To be honest, I chose A-Best because the quote was very reasonable, significantly less than a quote by a competing vendor. Measuring and quote went smooth by a friendly, knowledgeable young lady. Because of covid, installment was delayed by a few months, but that was not the fault of A-Best...and definitely worth the wait. Install was fantastic. 3 guys worked in tandem, like choreography. Within hours, the atmosphere inside my home was transformed by simple, solid, well-engineered windows that provided energy savings and beautiful wider visions. And considering the age of the existing windows, any carpentry adjustments were nominal and seamless. BEST of all, there was nothing to clean up after they left.

From the initial estimate through installation, A-BEST was courteous and professional. The gentleman who came out for our consultation estimated that two sills would need to be replaced, and he built this into the quote. He was exactly right, and we didn't pay a penny more than we had been quoted - given the state of the windows, I half expected unforeseen work, so this was a very positive experience! The installers took only half a day to do all the work and cleaned up after themselves. My windows have been installed for three months now and I can already tell that they are keeping in the heat and are as energy efficient as boasted.

My job was broken down into 3 phases. Phase #1, replacement of 8 windows in August, went well. The crew were polite, clean, took their time and we were pleased with the product....even if their trim work left a little to be desired. Phase #2, replacement of 8 more windows in November, was a bit of a disaster. This crew rushed, left behind a mess and when I pointed out that 7 out of 8 of the brand new windows were dented and scratched they said they hadn't noticed. (As if...the scratches were dark black and clearly visible.) They called the office to say the customer had a problem and were driving away as the office called to check with me. The company promised to send someone back to correct the problem, which they did. But by then... we noticed that these 8 windows were sweating every time the temperature dropped. Seriously sweating, and we weren't happy. If I'd wanted to wipe moisture off every morning, I would have kept my old rotted wooden ones. We also noticed that they had sanded off all the varnish on the windowsills. Why, we had no idea. Jason, the owners son, arrived 2 weeks later and said the dents and scratches were probably caused by the windows rubbing against each other in transit. He cleaned them up a bit and they looked better, but were still scratched. We explained the sweating problem and he came up with various reasons why they would. High humidity levels in the home, heavy drapes or blinds holding back the heat, a too air tight house.....none of which was the case. After prying off a piece of trim, he could literally see outside and realized there was no insulation. He promised to come back with a crew and remove all 8 windows and reinsulate. Jason did just that, and spent pretty much the whole day here insulating, caulking and double checking everything. He was extremely thorough and wanted to make it right. Unfortunately, 7 out of the 8 windows are still sweating and I'm left to believe it's a design flaw or faulty manufacturing. While we're happy with the first batch of windows, we're not happy with the second... and I'm afraid I'll be looking elsewhere to finish phase 3 next year.

They were prompt in coming to give me the estimate. Their product was as good as I could get from a local store. Their price was good. They kept their appointment. There was something that had to be fixed but they came right back and fixed it. They probably had one of the best prices but I didn't check too many stores.

They sent someone to measure and they did that quickly. They put in the order and scheduled the appointment. They replaced the windows within a half a day. They were so quiet you could not even tell they were here. They were very professional and I was very pleased with the work. They cleaned up after themselves as well.

They did a good job. They were professional, neat, quick.

They had a special, if I bought three windows; I got the fourth one free. Their price was reasonable. They were on time, they were quick and they cleaned up their mess. I had a cluster of snakes under the house, one of them had gotten in, and I asked them to keep the doors closed. The poor boss was absolutely terrified of them. He was great. Whenever he went out side to do work around the windows one of the snakes would go across the grass. They did a fantastic job. I have not had any trouble. I would recommend them.

I had 17 windows replaced in my home. The day the installers came was a very cold and windy January day. The 3 installers went room to room, closing off doors ans rooms wherever possible to save heat. The arrived at 8:30 in the morning, and were done and cleaned up by 2:30 in the afternoon. Love the windows. What a difference!

Great price from the sales rep and quality work from the installation crew. Overall we're very satisfied.

Very good experience.Lisa was timely and informative with the estimate and willing to negotiate the prepayment. The team arrived slightly ahead of time , replaced all 14 winows and were all cleaned up in 3.5 hours. Very professional, courteous and responsive to detailing. The windows are well made and warranteed. I would use them again and recommend this company to friends.

Compared to the window provider I chose for most of the work, A-Best was less professional and less reliable, and their windows are of low quality. I even had to call back a couple of times apparently to avoid falling through the cracks.
