C.N. Brown Company

I ordered oil from CN Brown of Jay. After 5 days of no delivery and a phone call everyday. Their excuse was an icy driveway. I had the driveway professionally sanded twice in these days. I believe they were in an oil shortage and did not plan accordingly. After delivery I was happy enough. My credit card was never charged. They used someone elses credit card and I never checked my CC balance to see if it was taken out. In July of 2014, they finally billed me and I paid "again" with CC. This time however, they tacked on 7 months of finance charge. I spoke with financing of CN Brown and they explained that they accidentally charged another CN Brown account holder. I argued that I should not pay the finance or the surcharge for increase in oil price. They were not helpful. I then wrote a detailed email Market Manager and she was professional, but still no help in the finance department. They did nothing to accommodate me for their poor business. Despite their low prices, CN Brown has given me enough trouble to keep my business elsewhere. I do not recommend them for anything and will do my best to keep my oil purchases away from this poorly run business.

Their prices are cheaper. If I run out of fuel in the middle of the night, then they are really good. It works fine as far as the emergency time. They have a really good prompt delivery. I pay $3.49 for a gallon.
