This is a most excellent company. Paul and his team are highly experienced, highly professional and honest. Scheduling our chimney repairs and liner installation was a pleasure....we locked in our date after receiving a timely estimate, and at 7 AM on the scheduled date, the full team arrived and began work. They stayed on the job until it was complete, and kept us apprised of all work operations throughout the day. We had our chimney refurbished, the liner put in, and scheduled repointing the chimney for Spring. 30 years of experience, hard workers, great customer service--amazing work ethic. And honest. This is highly recommended firm. It was a pleasure doing business with such a great company!

Provider arrived on time and with the necessary tools to do the job. Paul was a nice guy to deal with, and went above and beyond by being flexible about the fact both the estimator and I failed to mention initially that there is no electricity at my home. I am pleased with the quality of the work. The cost of this type of service, specifically the parts, will always be a tough one to swallow but I would work with Paul again and would certainly recommend Pickett's Chimney to others.

We contacted this provider in Feb. due to a problem with our chimney liner in one flue. He was about one of the nicest, kindest, honest people we had ever dealt with so we decided to go with him immediately and didn't even follow through with the other contacts we had made appointments with. What he decided needed doing couldn't be done in the winter so he said he would put us on a list and call us the end of April. Since it is now July and we hadn't heard from him I gave him a call and left a message. He called me back and I guess he didn't like the tone of my message which he must have completely misunderstood since I was only trying to make a joke. Regardless of what I said, even if he didn't like it, whatever happened to and quot;the customer is always rightand quot;. I didn't need to be told the woes of how busy he is and told that he received 28 messages today and mine was the only one of and quot;that kindand quot; (whatever that meant). He asked what was wrong with me and why didn't I pick up a phone if I was so impatient. Well I don't feel I was impatient since I waited over a month after he said he would call and I finally did pick up the phone (wish I hadn't) . He told me he never said he would call me in April (he did say that but perhaps he forgot ) and that it was not necessary for me to leave that kind of message and then he hung up on me. In my opinion that is about as rude and unprofessional as anyone could be. I called him back and left another message telling him that (he didn't call back) If I had the chance I wouldn't use him now if he was the only chimney guy available. I'm sure he was tired and out of sorts when he called me and if I offended him, I never meant to but he in turn did the same to me. I would like to think that this was all a big misunderstanding since, like I said previously, he was extremely nice at our first meeting. I'm sure he must do exemplary work after reading all the other reviews but I guess I'll never know first hand now. If he hadn't hung up on me maybe we could have worked this out as I'm not a bad person and I'm sure he isn't either but I just can't justify a positive review based on my dealings with him.

The job cost ended up being less than the quote. Of course this may rarely happen, however, I was pleased to have such an honest company working for me. I hired Pickett's to repoint the chimney prior to a roof job at their recommendation. I had originally called for a chimney lining to be done at a later date. I will certainly be hiring them for the chimney lining work.

It was very good. We were very impressed and very happy with their service.

Oil furnace went down for parts for several days. When new part was installed, down draft was so strong, furnace would not run. Called Pickett and rep was onsite next day. Evaluated problem and got price from office. When all parts were available, scheduled installation. Showed up on time, completed work quickly and thoroughly. Very satisfied with results.

Paul showed up exactly when he said he could. He was done as expected. He also installed an exhaust pipe for future radon fan system for no extra charge. Quality was super and they cleaned up everything when done. Paul and his employee were very knowledgable about all my options. They stood by their quote with no issues. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends!

Paul called back within the hour after request. Came inext day to see problem, gave estimate and booked a date to do work.. He called the day before and morning of to confirm and let me know when they would arrive. Work done as described. Good experience!

They were punctual, polite and cleaned up after themselves. They even took my existing chimney cap down so I could repaint it and then they reinstalled it for me.

Paul is one of the most honest, easygoing contractor's I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I've used him for a few of my properties as well as our home. This time we wanted to install a woodstove for heating. Paul did his research and was able to drop 2 flu's down the one chimney and still meet code for our new woodstove and boiler. Our next door neighbors went with someone else and were told they needed to install a separate metal chimney. Now they have an ugly stainless pipe coming up out of their roof next to their chimney-I told them they should have called Paul!

Dana came at the time he said and installed a new damper cover at the top of the chimney under the chimney cap. It did not take long as he's had much experience installing many different types of dampers. He was very communicative and provided much information to all my questions. I would not hesitate to call on him again for any chimney needs.

It went very well. My wife broke her shoulder recently so I dont have time to tell story start to finish. Bottom line; very good service in all respects. Paul is first class.

Paul was great. He knows his stuff and has great people working for him. They were fast, responsive and very honest. We will call them again for any chimney needs without hesitation.

He and his workers were on time to start (0700), and on time to finish (1630). They were very careful to save the better old bricks for me to use later for a home project. Separating the bricks was not easy given the large number of bricks which they quickly disposed of. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They were hard workers, and they only took a short lunch break. It was an impressive effort by three craftsmen. I will have them back to put in a liner later this year.

Paul responded quickly to my estimate request. I do not know much about chimneys or their maintenance. Paul spent the time to explain what I should be doing and what I need. He could of easily oversold me but even recommended me not to have some work done that was not necessary. Within a couple weeks he came and completed the work. I wold recommend to anyone who needs chimney work done

It was a pleasure to work with Paul from the first phone call. He came, looked at the work we needed done and gave us an estimate. We decided to hire him based on the price and his reputation from another person who referred him to us. He called and arranged a date and time to do the work. He came on time, was very professional and personable. Everything was done rather quickly and the quality of his work we are very pleased with. We would definiately hire Paul again without hesitation.

He did excellent work. He didn't have the chimney cap that I had expected would be the best, but he gave me a different one which ended up being a little bit more expensive and he didn't charge me for. He was excellent. He is one of those local guys and he came on time. The first time he came, he was a little late so he called in saying he was going to be a little late. He cleaned up after the work as it was messy working with the chimney. He explained what he was doing and I would recommend him to anyone that needed chimney work done.
