Lowe's of Scarborough Me

Rather poor, I started the process in April 2016. I paid for an estimator to come out and look at the project and get the appropriate measurements. I was told, 3-4 business days I would be contacted. A week later I called Lowe's to check on status since I had not heard from anyone. There response was it was the subcontractor. A week or so after that someone showed up and measured, told us due to the complex nature of the install it was a two day project. The next day I went to the store to pay for two doors, storm door and installation fees. We were told it would be 30 days for the item to come in, an installation date was scheduled on June 14, I stayed home that day so they could install the doors I also removed the alarm system from the door and other items to ease the install. By 9AM when no one had contacted me, I called Lowe's installation and was told the installer decided not to come that day because the Front door had not arrived. I asked why he did not just come and install the back door, and was told it was his decision. I sent a written complaint to the Corporate Lowe's, interesting enough, the front door was found the morning of the 15th of June. I went to the local Lowe's to get my money back, and spoke with the assistant store manager. He said he would have someone contact me and an install date of June 29th. I agreed with the June 29th date. The contractor who showed up on June 29th could not have been better, he did an excellent job. One problem, Lowe's ordered the wrong front door, so only the side door could be installed. Lowe's had the special order door for over two weeks or more, and no one checked to see if it was the correct size. Again, the install was pushed back. I was told by Lowe's Install services that they only needed to order the frame, not the whole door so it would only take ONE week to come in, I asked that they have the contractor contact me NOW so we could schedule a date as soon as possible. Another week went by, no contact, I called the Lowe's install team again on June 30 and I was told that I would be contact by the contractor and the install would take place the week of July 5th. Still not hearing from the contracter by July 5th I called the install team again, they said the contractor told them he forgot to call me and he would get to me later that day. I received a call from the contractor on July 6th saying the only available install date is 30 days out on August 1st. Needless to say, it has been over two months since I started this project, customer service has been significantly lacking. And, we are no closer today to having our front door installed they were were back in April. .

Andrew spent a lot time with me describing the pros and cons of various brands and models of refrigerators, ranges, washers, and dryers. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the products. He also was very customer oriented, did not want to sell me a product that might not be right for me. I'm not yet ready to buy, but I was extremely impressed by his friendly professionalism. Kudos!

Roofing went fairly well but cleanup was poor and they were fairly careless about getting them off the roof, many window screens destroyed.

Specifically - this is a rating of Lowe's Garden center...I go often. They may not have the largest selection, altho it is very good, but they definitely have the healthiest, well-cared-for plants around, and most reasonably priced. Plus they have a wonderful employee who takes care of the garden(s) and is extremely knowledgeable about everything there. According to this person it is the store owner who is so caring and encourages/supports the employees to be the same.

They are fine and the price was good.

The order was seemless. They didn't try to selI me any thing I didn't want, up sell me or make me feel I should buy the more expensive padding or I'd be sorry. I really appreciated that. I was able to get a 18 month zero interest deal with my lowes card. The measure apointment went well, the contractor who came out was very friendly and professional. I opted to remove my carpet myself to save the removal and disposal fee. It only cost me $20 to throw away at my transfer station as apposed to $175 for them to do it. When the carpet came in I was promptly contacted by the installers, they made an appointment that was convenient for me.On the day of the installation, since the contractors have to pick the carpeting up at lowes that morning, install couldn't start before lowes opened. However I was able to go to work and make arrangements where they called me once I was on the way, and I met them there. The installation guys were very professional and friendly, I worked from home while they did the installation. It was completed by noon. It looked great and they took care to make sure I examined every thing and was happy with it. A month later i'm very happy with the carpet's durability and quality. I gave them a B for over all for 1 reason which couldn't be helped. I ended up with a fair amount of extra carpet, which I had to pay for. I told the measure guy that in my long walk in closet I'd be happy to have multiple seams, if it meant keeping down the square footage, he said he'd do what he could. The 20 year old carpet I pulled out had 4 seams in the closet. They were concerned with doing it right and doing a professional job, even in the closet! Hence I ended up with extra square footage and no seams. This speaks well of the installation company and lowes.SO its hard to fault them for doing it the correct way! How ever I would have been happy to sign any kind of waver for my closet to save me $!80 bucks. In un used carpeting. The sales rep at lowes even tried to call the carpet company to see if they would buy the remnants back but they were in 4 pieces and not one big piece. Lowes tried to help out but its just how it came together. I'm very happy with the Lowes flooring experience and would be happy to recommend them and have done so to my friends and co-workers!

From start to finish I was totally impressed with the way Lowe's handled the carpet and vinyl installation. First of all, the sales assistant, Susan Tangen, in the Lowe's - Scarborough store was a great help. She helped me match colors, pick out carpet and vinyl, and prepared the order accurately and efficiently. When there was a minor problem, she fixed it immediately without any inconvenience to me. Then the installation managers, Michele and Kelsey called me to schedule the appointment. Rick's Carpet and Vinyl did the installation. The installers, Jeff and Shawn were complete professionals - doing their work efficiently without any mess. They were easy to work with and answered all questions. When Jeff came to measure for the carpet he made a recommendation about the vinyl that ended up being insightful. The installation managers, Michele and Kelsey were involved the whole time. Michele even showed up at the house to make sure everything was going as planned. When I had a concern about a seam in the hall carpet they were willing to do everything they could resolve my concern. They were even willing to replace the hall carpet if I thought that was necessary. I decided not to replace the carpet based on the explanation and just their willingness to work with me. When I was treated fairly, I in turn wanted to be fair back. Now that is how doing business should work. Lowe's is much more than a big box store, they are professionals who understand how to treat customers. From start to finish it was a very positive experience. Not only did I get a great price, but I had professional installers, a customer service mgmt team, and a product back by a large company who cared about my satisfaction!!
