It took several calls before I reached someone.
Description of Work: Called for estimates and dates. From what I recall, they were way over priced by comparison even before any site evaluation was arranged.

We have never done business with a [member name removed]. In fact, we have never done work for anyone but ourselves. We were a small house flipping company that has not flipped a house since 2010. I think [member name removed] has us confused with someone else.

Brilliantly. I won't even consider hiring a different contractor, unless Ken specifically recommends a specialist. Ken is a true professional and a gentleman. I'm 100% comfortable with him and his crew working at my house anytime. The market is flooded with people claiming expertise as carpenters, or painters, or roofers. Ken has been in the business for decades. He's trustworthy, fair, and above all, extremely competent. He's gone above and beyond on every job we've hired him for. I'm not an Angie's List junkie. I signed up here solely to give Ken Hawkes a presence on the List. I have no affiliated with Ken or his business. Just looking for a way to say "Thanks" for the amazing work, and to give him my highest recommendation for anyone considering a home improvement project in the future.
Description of Work: In the last 12 months, we've hired Ken to install a new roof, venting system, gutters, and 3500 sq ft of hardwood floors.

I am the legal owner of DMS Design LLC. My name is Dorothy L. Spitzer. In 2010 I hired Ken Hawkes as a sub contractor on a house we were building. Mr. Hawkes never was or is a member of our company. We in fact fired him for shoddy workmanship on a metal roof we were installing. To hear our name in association with his is a shock to me. If Mr. McCarter is writing on Angie's list in response to fictional work done by my company, I hate to think how many other jobs were done under my business name.
