Riverside Painting - Stephen Savage

Steve and Cory did a great job. Very professional and efficient. Would definitely use them again.

This project was quoted back in mid October for completion in approx. 3 weeks according to Mr Savage. The project dragged on until 2 weeks before Christmas and then Mr. Savage disappeared. We attempted several communications and received no response. We made a final attempt and referenced small claims court. Mr. Savage finally responded stating that he felt that he had completed $3100 worth of work. It appears that Mr. Savage is not familiar with antique houses and had erroneous expectations about how quickly it would progress. He attempted to renegotiate the job after quoting with an hourly rate. The slow progression was also due in large part to very inconsistent, 3 hour work days (we need to chase Mr .Savage to see when he would return) and having unskilled assistance. Mr. Savage and Riverside Painters quoted us $6200. He reqired half down and left completing only 2 rooms and 1 bathroom with a bit of prep work in other places. We approximate that he completed a third of the project and that the quality of his work was fair to poor. We are still hoping to negotiate a fair resolution to this project.
