Phil Chambers (Pmc) Landscaping

We had worked with Phil on multiple occasions. His pricing is much cheaper than traditional companies so it’s attractive. He lacks communication and you never know when he’s going to show up, but he always got the work done. We hired him to take down trees, install a retaining wall with stairs, and install a lawn. Project started in April 2019, and he abandoned the project in June 2019 leaving us with a retaining wall with no stairs, and 18 yards of loom in our driveway. Never returned a call, or came to collect his equipment he left. We found him working on another job 2 miles from our house and confronted him, he was extremely confrontational and refused to offer an explanation of why he abandoned our job. We think it was too much for him, and we wouldn’t admit it. We had to hire a legit landscaper and now are fixing the retaining wall that is crumbling. He owes us about $1k in work not completed. He will yes you all day long, and never deliver.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS GUY. He will lie and steal from you. He kept saying he was coming and then wouldn't show up. Sometimes he blamed it on the threat of bad weather (that never came). Even on the most beautiful of days, he wouldn't show up and never called. When we called he would have some lame excuse and throw out another day he would come by and then not show up. This went on for 6 weeks until we had to hire another tree service to complete the job. When we asked him to return the $700 he owed (we felt $300 was a fair price for the 3 small trees he had cut down), his response was, "that's not gonna happen". We also found out he is operating without a license. In the long run, I'm glad we were rid of him, but not the money. BEWARE!!!
