We had an excellent experience with Brian, would certainly use his services again and have referred a relative to him. He was helpful from the beginning - even in advising us in the estimate process. We had to have some rot repair and Brian coordinated the work with another service provider and established standards and expectations for the other service provider. Brian communicated effectively and promptly. Weather was a factor with respect to schedule, but Brian kept us apprised and updated as the schedule necessarily changed. We received several estimates and found Brian's pricing competitive and reasonable. Brian was meticulous in his work and materials. He takes pride in being "fussy," and it is certainly reflected in the outcome.

Brian and his crew did an excellent job. They were very courteous, respectful and professional. One of the ceilings required a fa ir amount of patching and the result was great.We would highly recommend them !

I cannot say enough about the respect I have for this company. I phoned Brian as I did the others to get an estimate for exterior painting that was inadvertantly left out of a major residing that we had finished the previous winter. I was not aware of just how much rotted trim/unfinished work was left after the project was complete. Brian gave me a breakdown through countless emails . . .of just how much needed to be done , the work he would be able to perform and that work for which he could recommend someone. Unbillable time. I was so very impressed and very grateful. There was so much unfinished siding/trim work I eventually had to go back the contractor who did the original siding and ask that it be completed before I could consider painting. I can only assume that his company's work ethic is as strong as his business smarts; timely, thoughtful and thorough. I did not even get an estimate from him,but I am quite sure I would have received more than I paid for.

I am beyond thrilled with the work that Brian did in our home. As I mentioned, in two of the rooms there was wallpaper that needed to be removed. Even though the previous owner didn't prep the walls correctly prior to wallpapering, Brian was able to remove all the paper and repair the rips, tears, and holes that were hiding on the drywall underneath. The walls look fantastic. He also did some finishing work for us on two walls that had been changed but not finished by a previous contractor. Brian was professional and communicated well about the project and where it was headed. I also really appreciated the fact that he and his partner cleaned up their work at the end of each day so there was minimal impact to our comfort at night - especially since it was a multi-week job. He showed up when he said he would and was very aware of our needs as well as his own. I cannot recommend Brian enough and intend to use him again in the future. I trust him completely and was more then happy to leave him in the house alone and even give him a key so he could come and go as needed. I am over the moon with how great our house looks and Brian deserves much of the credit for that!

It was a big job. They did a lot of painting and powerwashing. The price included both the jobs. I think a lot of people used them and I am assuming that they have been pleased. We need to have some more painting done and this coming summer we will have them back. Their clean-up was fine. It is hard to say anything about the price because we didn't get any other estimates. Their responsiveness was fine. We would call them back.

We had them come out about two or three times. Our experience with them was absolutely marvelous. They came when they said they were going to and they were very neat and clean. They cleaned up every night. They helped me with furniture and they did very good work. I have referred them to many of my friends and they feel the same way about them. They do what they say they are going to do and they do it extremely well.

Excellent job. Brian is a perfectionist. All surfaces were repaired, sanded and painted with care. Brian and his coworker (also named Brian) arrived promptly each day, worked steadily and left our house clean. Houston probably costs a little more than competitors, but the job quality will pay off in long life.

Bruce answered all calls within reasonable time; clean cut, polite, never left a mess, worked deligently; offered knowledgeable information. reasonably priced. dependable.

Excellent work in all respects. Prep work was thorough and all painting was done with painstaking care. No spills, excellent clean up. Bruce Merryman is a true professional and he liked our dogs! Also, they worked quietly: no radios.

This was a terrible weather year for exterior work, but Brian Houston kept in touch with us re: the work schedule throughout the project. He worked very carefully - protecting all trim, cleaning up on a daily basis, and producing top quality work.

The job was done beautifully. Because of the weather, the job was a bit late in starting, but when the job got started everything came together in perfect timing. The crew is trustworthy, professional, pleasant and smart. A great combination!

Brian rode out to my house with me to estimate the work to be done. One ceiling was in a large kitchen/living area approximately 10' X 25'. I thought the damage in the ceiling would need to be repaired and then the entire ceiling painted. Brian offered the option of repairing the damage and only painting the area first. If we were satisfied, he would do no more. If not satisfied, he would give us the option to paint the whole ceiling. We chose the repair and patch and it turned out to our complete satisfaction. Brian even reinforced above the ceiling to strengthen his repair. The other ceiling/wall was in the master bedroom. Brian fixed that as well as replastering an aluminum corner guard that had sunk in over time. Brian estimated a two day project and he worked extra late on the last day to get it done, due to a color match problem on the wall from the paint shop. Brian is extremely neat and covers/protects surrounding areas while cleaning up any mess that he makes. He called the next morning to make sure we were completely satisfied with his work. My wife and I are very pleased and look forward to hiring him again. We would recommend his service without hesitation. He is thoughtful and honest. I did not have a problem leaving him in the home by himself to work and even gave him a key so he could come and go as he pleased. He is by far the best painter we have ever had, having three previous painters. We were not in a hurry to get the work done so between estimate and actual work was approximately 6-8 weeks volunteering to work completely around his schedule.

They are pleasant and fun to have around. They do not play a radio, which is wonderful!

Brian power washed the house (on a Sunday in the rain in order to keep to his time estimate) and then painted with the matching stain over the next week. He also weatherproofed the deck and front porch. Brian had performed significant interior work for us in the past, and as usual, he was a pleasure to work with. He made an effort to keep disruption to a minimum, and the final product is beautiful. People walking by continue to comment on the house transformation.
