Description of Work: I began building my house in 2008. Since then the company has changed hands however the sales person stayed with the company, I believe (Skip). They used to be located in Kennebunk, ME. I still want to put in my 2 cents even though I can't speak for the current owner. I contracted Zero Draft to use the Dense Pack method to install Cellulose insulation throughout my entire home, roof rafters, walls, etc... The price was fair and this whole interaction started out great. When it came time to do the work they showed up with the sales person and two young kids. Keep in mind this is a Timber Frame home and not the simplest job to insulate. The two very experienced guys that were supposed to show up were fired the week before they were supposed to insulate my home. The two new guys had NEVER insulated a house and this was there first job. The owner was in Florida and the salesman was supposed to train them... guess what, my house was a training session. However, the trainer needed training also. Two new employees were left on there own to figure it out and they really tried so it's not their fault, but they did a horrible job. They packed the bays too tight in some places and not at all in others, etc.... When contacted months later to perform the thermal imaging promised, they had re-hired the experienced people that were previously fired. He did the thermal imaging and found lots of problems. I was promised this would be taken care of. He was a great guy, but had little control over where and when he worked. He showed up one day with two guys, did what he could, made promises he really shouldn't have and never came back. I made phone call after phone call and eventually they just scanned my number and hung up on me.... several times. I am still dealing with their shoddy work and it's going to cost me thousands of dollars to fix. I do not recommend these people, it was the worst experience of all the contractors when I build my house.

+ -1 moreThis was not a fun experience. I called Zero Draft to schedule an estimate for Insulation and Home Sealing for a multi-unit property that I own. I received a call back after 3 days and we scheduled a time to do the estimate. The company then cancelled the scheduled time, partially due to weather, by leaving a voicemail on my phone. They stated that if I still wanted an estimate to call back and schedule another time. I called back within 30 minutes. No one answered the phone so I left a message stating I absolutely wanted to get an estimate because I had an uninsulated apartment that I wanted to have insulated within a matter of weeks. The company never called back to schedule a time. I ended up going with another company the next week.
Description of Work: Zero Draft did not perform any services. I was only seeking an estimate.

+ -1 moreWe had a few estimates and the first company tried to tell us that we would need to shell out $4,000-$6,000 for the work we wanted done. They did not explain why and how either. We then worked with Zero Draft and they walked through the process and told us why they would do the certain services for us. Explaining the pros and cons of everything, which enabled us to decide on the right choice. They were also a fraction of the cost estimate the other company quoted for the same services.
Description of Work: Great, no BS company. Do not try to rip you off.
