they stole my daughter's laptop from me and then called me up to pick up another brand laptop...When I told them this was not my laptop, they said they must have sold mine by mistake...stay far away!!!

Josh and Ben were very helpful, removed all the bugs, and recommended changing the hard drive to a Solid State version, which has transformed the computer, much faster. No problems since. They have been very helpful solving many problems for us.

Ben & Josh were super. removed the malware fixed the affected, update my spy ware program. did it all with 24 hours and at a very reasonable price. Josh and Ben are very easy to deal with. Great guys wouldn't take my computer problems to any one else.

Josh and Ben spent about a day on my computer. They removed "bloatware" and repaired directory files that were causing conflicts. The also installed a malware protection program as well as a utility which scans and repairs my computer for outdated references, directory conflicts and dangerous cookies. My computer runs and continues to run which significantly greater speed and I have not had a system crash since. I highly recommend The People's Geek for any level of computer issue. They are very reasonably priced and you'll wonder why you didn't have them fix the issue earlier!

Ben is just the best. He picked up my computer Friday afternoon and returned it Monday morning. He is wonderful to deal with and he does a fantastic job. The price is always quite reasonable and the work is always top notch. I would never think of calling anyone else when something happens to my computer.

I've owned computers for 20 years and never had a need for a computer repair service. I chose The People's Geek based on Angie's list recommendations. I called and explained my dilemma and offered to bring him both the computer tower and printer, but he only wanted the tower. Said he could fix the printer remotely. 1) Firstly, it was very hard to understand him on the phone - very muffled. I'm guessing it's his phone, because I spoke to him about 6 times using different phones in 3 different cities (my cellphone, my home landline, the phone at work, and a friend's phone) and yep, each time it sounded as if he had been gagged! But I figured it didn't matter if he did a good job. 2) The problem on my computer was malware - even though I had Kaspersky Internet Security System installed. He said the malware was of the "let-me break-your-computer" nature and not the more serious "I'm-gonna-steal-your-identity" type. This seems to be what he's great at. He found the problem and fixed it. At this point, his grade was "A". He told me to call him in the morning and he would remotely deal with the scanner issue which was included in the final repair charge. He's a very pleasant likeable guy, and seems confident in his ability to serve - and those are good attributes! But it's his WORD that matters to me. This issue continuously popped up in our dealings, and I will outline them below. But if you state on Angie's list that you offer a discount, then keep your word and make good on it. He did NOT apply the Angie's discount to my repair job even though I told him that I found him on Angie's List the first day I met him. His grade went to a "B". 3) I had alittle blip when I turned it on at home - the screen and words in general were blurry. Since I'm not a computer wiz, I asked someone at work who thought it couId be that he possibly changed the screen settings to accomodate his system. Sure enough, that was it. 4) I called him about the scanner and he began his remote repair job. He tried to download HP drivers (I had already tried this) and he had as much success as I did - none. But I wasn't worried at this point. I watched for awhile to see what he was doing - not because I didn't trust him, but because I wanted to know where I failed in the same procedure. He disabled the security firewall and anti-virus programs which I will admit scared me, but I figured he was the computer pro and would only need it down for a short time. He continued trying various downloads. After a bit, he advised me that I could go to work and he would continue the repair and call me with the details. I received no call back from him. Ten hours later, I got home, and the computer screen is in the same spot as when I left him. Did he finish? Why is it in the same spot with the same windows open as when I left? Did he do anything after I left? Is the firewall is still disabled? Why didn't he call me like he said? His grade went to a "C". 5) I called him the next day, and he said he was unable to fix it and forgot to call me. He would talk to his brother who had more knowledge regarding this kind of issue and call me back to set up a day his brother could do a remote link. I did not hear from him for weeks, and since it was around Thanksgiving, I decided to let the holiday pass. Weeks went by with no phone call from him. More weeks go by and now I see that he's just blowing me off. I call him back on a Tuesday and we set up a Thursday appointment for the remote brother attempt. He does NOT call. His grade is now a "D". 6) I call him the following week and he makes another appointment. This time he calls, but there's no brother, so he'll try again. He's stuck at the same spot that he was months ago. He asks if he could hang up and call me back with his brother. The brother calls back, spends 5 minutes reviewing the issue and then tells me that scanners are cheap - go buy another one. Really? Your grade is now a "F". I do NOT recommend The People's Geek computer service. Everyone in business knows that your reputation is only as good as your word, and this busines has shown that they have difficulty keeping their word. If he had looked at the scanner initially, or allowed me to bring it to him when he took the tower, I could have easily accepted that sometimes things can't be repaired. But it is the manner in which he disregarded my time, my patience, my trust that has lead me to not recommend this services. You should not have to chase a business to get them to keep their word to attempt a service repair, and that is what I constantly had to do.

It was exactly what I asked for and was completed in the timeframe that they promised. The provider even offered some recommendations for good deals on new computers on a website that I would not have otherwise known about. Very helpful and good customer service practice.

This is my 2nd time using them. I was having a problem and I called them and they took over remote control of my computer and determined that it was a faulty monitor. He said he'd pick one up and bring it down. Since I am handicapped, this was a huge blessing. In just an hour he was here and hooked it up for me. I can't say enough good things about this firm and I would never consider using anyone else.

I've been very happy with them. Josh did IT work in the military and does great work. They helped removed some malware from my computer and are able to access my computer remotely for help. Their customer service and work is stellar. The rates are very reasonable as well. A lot of people I know use them and everyone has great things to say.

He removed all the viruses, got rid of the constant pop-ups and made the computer run like new. Ben Richards was so pleasant and I appreciate how quickly he got me up and running again. After a disastrous encounter with Happy Face PCs, Ben restored my faith. Don't even think about using anyone but The People's Geek.

They were very good, very efficient, very reasonably priced and went on until the problem was resolved. I am in network business that Ben and Josh are part of. They had a couple of ideas about what may be wrong, but they had a flat rate. They are by far, much more reasonably priced than computer places I have used in the past. They are very knowledgeable, and the they stick with it until the problem is resolved. If they didn't answer my call when I called, they would get back to me within one hour. I will continue using them in the future.

My 5-year-old laptop stopped booting up properly and basically had stopped working. The People's Geek picked it up from my office, assessed the problem, and presented me with the options and pricing. They ended up replacing my hard drive and returned my computer to me fully functional, almost as good as new (it's 5 years old, so it will never be like new). I was very satisfied with the service, results, and price. I would definitely use them again.
