PORT CITY FLOORING

We gave them measurements for the floor and were told to be careful that we had enough. We ended up with too much tile. We placed the order by calling them and were not told that unopened boxes could not be returned. We ended up with 4 boxes and are not out of pocket $200 dollars. This money should have been refunded as we were not given an invoice and were not told that we could not do a return. They didn't even attempt to compromise with us on this. Their attitude was that since they did not do the installation we were out of luck.

Initially, I was happy with the job. The problems came after it was done. When they finished the bathroom the installers were off to another job and I was left to do the finale washing off of the grout residue. I was fine with that. It was easy enough to do. When the tile was cleaned I noticed the cut in the Carrera curb on the shower stall did not line up exactly where the two ends meet. One side was a little short. It had been filled in with grout. Unfortunately, the grout didn't stay. Also, some material used on the shower walls had gotten on the bathroom ceiling. (The bathroom ceiling had already been primed and painted.) When I tried to paint over it the paint just bubbled. I called Paul and his only suggestion was to paint over it which I had already tried. I told him this. I ended up having to mud the ceiling, sand, and then paint it again. No follow up to see if I was able to take care of it. Within months some of the grout in the shower floor around the drain started cracking and coming up. Given the lack of interest in helping resolve the ceiling issue I didn't bother contacting Port City again.

From the initial contact in the store to the final installation everything was flawless! Our contact Paul knows his stuff and he made the entire process so easy. He came to the house for measurements and made some suggestions. The installation was scheduled and the installer arrived on time on the date that we scheduled. When a blip came up about floor height, Paul was back in no time with the extra materials that were necessary and the schedule was not impacted at all. The installer was fabulous, professional and meticulous. It was a pleasure to deal with this company and I would use them again in a hearbeat!

This flooring is for rental property and I live in a different state than the property. Since my time there was limited the sales person came out the same day during her lunch time (when someone else was available to watch the store) to measure the kitchen. I ordered linolium but, it looks like tile. Great service, great product and great instalation. I definitely would use them again and highly recommend them.

The whole process was easy and very customer friendly. A representative came to my home and talked with me about what I had in mind. I was then permitted to bring home various samples to look at in the room. Once I had decided, a payment plan was offered that suited my budget. The installation was flawless, timely, and professional. I would definitely recommend Port City Flooring.

The experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations at every phase of the project. There was no pressure at anytime to buy this particular product or that. We were provided all the pros and cons of each type of flooring and we used this information to make our choice. We were kept informed at every step of the process. The project was completed on time. The installation phase deserves special note. The quality of the install was top notch. The installer made sure all the joints were tight. the board ends were staggered, the transitions were perfect and he left the house cleaner than before he started. We have been so pleased with the installation we have decided to continue the same flooring from the dinning room through the kitchen when it is remodeled this summer. Port City Flooring will be our choice once again.
