Great! Jev is totally professional. He seriously discusses the work needed to be completed and comes up with a written detailed quote. Knowing the extent of the work and the price before starting is very important to me as I live on a budget. The amount quoted was the price I paid. No hidden surprises. Jev kept me up to date on the progress daily so when I was away at work I knew exactly what they had done that day and the expectation of timing for the following work. They worked super hard always focusing on the job. They even worked some weekends to catch the good weather days. It was very comfortable to have Jev and his team around the house. My family was visiting one day when they were working and they all commented on the professionalism Maine Painting Company showed and the respect they have for their work, also on how pleasant and comfortable Jev and his team were to have around (very nice people). Over the years I have had both good and bad experiences with contractors, painters etc. But my experience hiring Maine House Painting gives me faith that there are wonderful companies out there doing exemplary work. Maine House Painters were recommended to me by a very discerning friend and they lived up to her recommendation in every way. I am happy to give this company the highest rating. My house is very happy Jev and his team worked their magic on it and gave it a fresh start.

Jev and his crew did a FANTASTIC job. Jev is attentive to detail, both with the painting and the customer care part of the job. We even had an episode in which one of our cats sneaked in to Jev's truck and went home with him one night. She came back with him the next day after having been fed, watered and cuddled. The quality of the finished work far exceeded any expectations, even though his cost estimation was much lower than the others. He stayed within the communicated budget even though he did several extra jobs that came up during the process. The crew showed up on time. They too, were hardworking, courteous, and professional. Jev came to the job sight daily, overseeing every detail and keeping me informed by email. The job was finished in a timely manner with high quality work and attention to detail. We contacted Maine House Painting via phone and email, and got a prompt reply from Jev, the owner. He came out for an estimate within a couple days and got the estimate to us very quickly. We needed the house power washing within a couple weeks, and the apartment and deck work needed to be done a month later in a specific two week period of time. Jev worked with us to get the work done on time. The powerwashing ran into some glitches - our electrical system on the house couldn't handle his electric power washer - so he got a generator and his men did the work on the weekend in order to meet the deadline, and he didn't charge us extra. The deck and apartment painting had to be done in coordination with flooring and plumbing contractors, and the deck had to have a rain-free window of time as well. The scheduling became really messy with all these variables, yet Jev remained calm throughout and confident that they'd finish on time, which they did! Communication: Jev gives a daily email update, which is very useful. Before they started the apartment work, I emailed him with the names/numbers of the paint and stain we wanted them to use. He asked where we'd bought them in the past. He went to that paint store and when he found that the number of the paint I'd given him didn't match the name, he drove all the way to my house to clarify what I wanted. It had been my error. When he discovered that the stain we wanted for the deck was no longer available, he worked with the paint supplier to come up with a reasonable alternative and checked with us to see if it would work for us. English is not his first language, and some of his team speak very little English, yet we always managed to communicate what we needed to. Quality: all of the work that Jev and his crew did was top notch! We had hired a different painting contractor for some work earlier in the spring, and his work was a ton better. Jev noticed some minor carpentry that needed doing (a deck baluster needed replacing and an electric panel needed framing), and he did both without extra charges. It all looks really great. I highly recommend Maine House Painting! Punctuality: unlike other contractors, Jev and his crew would start later in the morning, say 9:00 or 10:00. We didn't always know when they would be showing up, but the main thing was that they got all the jobs done on time.

From the quote to the clean up, the project was done timely and professionally. Although the crew changed a bit from day to day, everyone was great and hard-working. I received emails updating me on the daily progress and any issues that arose that needed to be addressed. There were a few "extra" items that they gladly accommodated. I always knew what days they would be there and what time, which was appreciated when dealing with rain delays, etc. I felt the price was fair and the quality excellent.

Jev is a very nice guy. When we met to view the house for estimating purposes, he was personable and warm, but quite quick and professional. The estimate came in a couple days later, right when he said it would, and it was reasonable and competitive. So we agreed to move ahead. The project was done within two weeks, in the time frame promised. We were managing fall weather so the work days needed to be planned flexibly. Jev was communicative at every step and even sent a daily project status report. I knew how we were doing at the end of each day. Jev's team was friendly and courteous, and worked hard. We have kids so the culture of the painting crew was important to us, and both my wife and I felt comfortable. At the onset of the project we felt that the new paint color was not quite a match with the other parts of the house we were matching. Jev and his crew were calm and sincere in assessing the match and we finally agreed that we needed to buy new paint. This process didn't add time or cost to the project. At the end of the project I was expecting the final bill to be above estimate, because of the color matching process. But the final cost was right on invoice. Call Jev, he rocks!

Absolutely grade A service and quality! Jev came over immediately to give an estimate, identified that lead paint was previously used, explained the process for removing it safely, and kept in constant communication as the job went forward. He did some repairs to existing wood and caulked the windows where they needed it. His crew was hardworking and everyone went the extra mile for great service. They even took great care not to disrupt our local chipmunk at our request! A hearty recommendation for super service, an affordable price, and most importantly, making us feel like we were the number one priority. Thanks, Jev, Mike and Todd, for excellent care. We will be hiring them again at the earliest opportunity!

The job went extremely well from prep to finish. I highly recommend Jev for whatever job you have. He is great to work with. I really appreciate his straight forwardness and honesty. His crew was also enjoyable to have working around the house and used their time very efficiently and affectively. Definitely the best paint job I have paid for!

Jev's crew arrived around 9am, Monday morning and directly went to work. Due to two days lost to rain, they finished at noon on Saturday, 8/16. Jev is extremely enjoyable to work with. He definitely is very conscientious and ethical individual who expects the same from his employees and it is very obvious. I will be using Maine House Again soon for another project.
