Lowe's

The plumber that Lowe's sent was superb, in fact I took one of his cards for future use. He was here on time, very personable, professional and really knew what he was doing. There was additional work that needed to be done and Eric explained everything to me so clearly and was very reassuring. Further he cleaned every thing up and the disposal works great. I would have him back without question.

One of the 2 gentlemen who delivered my washer and dryer cut himself. He refused an offer of bandaids/rinsing the wound and left a big smear of blood on my washer. They hooked up the washer and put in on a wash cycle to rinse it out. They failed to secure the hose clamp and it flooded my basement. The Lowe's manager said he couldn't send anyone out until late afternoon to clean it up, so I ended up going to Lowe's myself to get a mop and a bucket. To be fair, he didn't charge me for the mop and bucket, and threw in some zip ties so I could secure the hose myself. He also gave me $50 compensation. When the refrigerator was delivered (separately), they put a big scratch in my wood floor during installation. I don't think I will be buying appliances from Lowe's anymore.

The sprayer in my kitchen sink started to leak. A plumber I’d worked with in the past came and reviewed the problem. He said that the tubing was cut and the part could not be repaired, it had to be replaced. I found the product information that came with the kitchen faucet set that I purchased from Lowe’s in 2010. I called Lowe’s in Portland and was put through to Jeff Kassel in the Plumbing Dept. I provided him with the part number from the product information booklet. He indicated that the part was no longer in stock, that he’d have to call the supplier, and that he’d call me back. He called me back within an hour and let me know that the supplier would mail the part direct to me free of charge, and that it should arrive within 7-10 business days. I asked if I could pay for expedited shipping but Jeff indicated that that was not possible because the supplier was doing a favor to Lowe’s by providing this out of warranty part; nonetheless I was very happy that the part was free. The part arrived on 06/23/16, within the timeframe Jeff indicated. On 06/27/16 I had it installed by a plumber. It works fine. The only way to distinguish it from the original one is a slight difference in color, probably due to the ageing of the finish of the original. If you didn’t know of the replacement, you’d probably never notice it. Jeff was very prompt and friendly, and delightfully obtained a part for me free of charge.

They were absolutely fabulous! Dana Gorndin was excellent and extremely professional when he came to install the new door. If I ended up buying anything else from Lowe's I would wait for Dana to become available before having it installed, he is excellent all around, can't say enough good things about Dana and his work.

They are excellent. I never had any problem with them. I never had a problem with them honoring the warranty. They have been exceptional in all their product line from building materials especially in the bathroom and the kitchen area and I never had a problem. Lowe's here was built to replace a very large department store that went out of business. It is convenient location wise and central distribution between the majority of the communities that go from this area. We have a huge recreational, we have ocean on one side, and a very large pristine lake on the other. There are about 20 or 30 small lakes. This area does not have problems with water. We have some of the best water in country. It has turned out perfect for them. They have done very well here.

The shingled roof cost was $10,500.00 and the metal roof cost was $16,000.00. That was our first estimates and we are going to get more. They were very good. They came and gave us a full estimate. They were very good. They were just too expensive. The guy across the street from us had them do their roof. They did a very good job. That is the reason I called them in the first place. They are very good at what they do. The price is just far more than I expected. They called me back three times so they communicate very well.

I had a pleasant and professional project manager. I liked that they had their own subcontractors. The project ran just a little long, and there was a slight issue with the shower. That issue was correct right away. I have been very pleased with their service. They are punctual, clean, and well priced. I will use them again in the future.

They came and did a thorough inspection of our roof, provided a prompt estimate and made several followup calls. They were knowledgeable and professional, but their estimate was very high compared to the other four companies who provided estimates.

After reading reviews here and also being a big fan of our local Lowe's store, I called to obtain an estimate. The representative that came to my home was professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant. The resulting estimate was competative and the promised job sounded complete, more than meeting our needs and would have been done in a timely manner. The only reason we choose another local roofing competer is they offered us an upgraded product still within our price range and they also had a great history of happy customers. Altho we did not choose Lowe's for this project, I would not hesitate to call, the next time we have home repairs to be done!

The gentleman from Lowe's I spoke with and met on site was very nice, knowledgeable, etc. I went over to Lowe's and was shown what the materials they were going to use looked like. I got an estimate of 1800.++ to re-roof my back porch. I checked with another well known roofer local to my area, he said all I needed was some caulk. My roof started leaking after all the heavy snow we got starting melting. It has not leaked since. This was told to Lowe's and to the second roofer I spoke with. This is why the second roofer said I do not need a whole new roof on my back porch but he did notice some flashing that needed to be water proofed and he told me what kind of caulk to get and where to aply it. His charge was nothing. I got some caulk and will will wait to see what happens next spring.

I had looked at various options around town and talked to some people I knew who had their roof done. They recommended Lowe’s to me. So, I went to their store and talked with one of the salesman. He then scheduled an appointment with me to come out to do some measuring and gave me a price quote. I decided to accept it and it was only a couple of weeks afterwords that when they were able to schedule the work. It was done in about four days. The cost was $9000 all together. I was very happy with the person who was the project coordinator at Lowe’s and he checked back all the time the project was going on. In fact, I was away for two days when they were working. He sent me e-mail reports and photos so that I could see when I was 500 miles away that they were indeed working on my house and the progress. He checked on a regular basis. In fact, he stopped by after it was all done to check again and to check if I was happy. They had cleaned up everything. I didn’t find any stray nails, shingles or any of that kind of stuff. They did a nice clean-up job as well.
