The cleaners themselves did an okay job, but not particularly thorough. The service was very structured with little flexibility. They rarely came on the day and time initially agreed to when hiring. I like the philosophy of giving the staff benefits and such. However, they weren't terribly invested in doing quality work.

They have the environmental ethics. They attempt to use non-toxic products. They're nice people. Their price is kind of high.

It is a pleasure to have the Green Clean Maine team in our home. They are friendly, attentive, and thorough. They have great attitudes and really seem to care about our home. The house smells fresh when they're finished and they pay attention to small details like bathroom fixtures and small kitchen appliances, as well as refrigerator door handles. If you are considering a cleaning crew for your home, I highly recommend Green Clean Maine. This is the first cleaning service we have ever used and are delighted with their work.

We have been very satisfied with the competent and courteous staff. As much as possible, the same team comes every time, so we have been able to get to know the crew and speak to the team leader directly with any comments or requests we might have.

There was a hiccup when I first scheduled, beyond their control. The office person I spoke with was out ill the next day so didn't immediately receive all the info and scheduled time did not work for us. The staff worked to correct this within hours. The team was professional , arrived on time and did an amazing job!. Very thorough in cleaning our home. No noxious odors from cleaning chemicals as they use all natural cleaning supplies.

We love these guys! My partner and I have dust allergies and we hired them around the time of our wedding to help out. They performed three visits thus far. The estimate was done over the phone and a crew of three came to do the work. They cleaned places we never have time to get to, and even found a headlamp my husband had lost months ealier. What a bonus! We plan to use them regularly.

This company does an amazing job. They are professional, efficient, and truly care about customer satisfaction. I will continually use their services. I feel 100% safe with the products they use and the results are better than any products with toxic chemicals in them. A quality company with quality service.

They are the best cleaning service I have ever had, or ever hoped to have. On every single visit, I've come home to a wonderfully, spotlessly clean house. I have even checked hard to reach corners and without fail all super super clean. I always take a deep breath and breath in the clean scent and then I whip off my shoes so I can walk on my new clean floors. Then I go into the bathroom where each and every time my toilet paper is folded into nice neat corners just like you would see at a high end hotel. And we are always left with a cheerful note. These folks are JUST that good.

Great! Green Clean of Maine has a very professional and thorough team. They've been extremely responsive to all my questions and needs. The owner (Joe) reached out by phone following the initial visit to ask how things went (this is a nice touch!). Our home looks spotless and smells freshly cleaned. It was fine, they did everything they were suppose to. They were very nice and friendly but the price was a little high for one person.

A team of 3 people come weekly for 1.5 hours. Usually the same people come every week. They use all natural products and do a good job.

The overall cleaning is excellent. They will accomodate specific needs without a problem. I also want the same people to return for the monthly cleaning. They do their best to do this.

We had been recently lost our third house cleaner, due to a career change and decided to contract with a service for the first time, instead of relying on the whims of individuals. We found Green Clean on Angie's list and sent an inquiry through their web-site - we received a response immediately and spoke to a very professional, knowledgeable manager who walked us through a questionairre and generated an initial quote. They recommended an initial "deep cleaning" first, to establish a base-line level of cleanliness in the house and then bi-weekly maintenance service thereafter - I think the initial cleaning was around $275, which covered 4 people in the house (~2000sf cleaned) for about 4 hours. They truly touched every inch and left it immaculate. It's now been 3 months and we've been very pleased with all aspects of the service. The same crew cleans our house every visit, so it's very consistent - and they are so friendly, but very professional - I feel very comfortable with them in our house. THey also use all natural cleaners, which was important to us, as we have a 3.5 year old and a 6 year old in the house, so we didn't want any harsh chemicals used. Overall, a top-notch cleaning service . I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Green Clean of Maine has been cleaning my home since July of this year. When I initially contacted them, the owner came to the house to give me an estimate on the services I wanted. The team of three people they send are terrific. They bring all of their cleaning supplies and equiptment. They do an excellent job...so good after their first visit, I wrote to tell them that the house was so clean I was going to live out of my car. Seriously they do a magnificent job. I highly recommend Green Clean of Maine.

I love this company. The staff that comes every week to our house is friendly, courteous, and very professional. They have a book on my house so they always know what they should be doing to maintain the cleanliness of the house. I'm often not home when they come and I trust them to be in the house without me and to do the work that I pay for.

This is one of those businesses where I simply can't say enough good things. A truly local business providing excellent work at fair prices -- on-time, good communications, really clean house, friendly and flexible and consistently improving. You can pay less, but you'll get less, and honestly, how much less are you paying and where's it really coming from? Joe Walsh has put together a real, actual business here that has produced decent jobs and a quality product. His employees get health care, vacation, and job security by virtue of good management and scale -- and it shows in the great job that they do. House cleaning is one of those industries where a lot of the time the people doing the actual work really don't get a very fair shake. If that's something you care about, GCM is the only place we've found that makes us feel good about the money we're spending. And again, we wouldn't feel good regardless if the work wasn't top-notch. We're on the bi-weekly cleaning, and it's really perfect for us -- two adults, two cats. The house is clean, smells great, we've found very few misses and a lot of extras -- occasionally, they'll just do something a little beyond what they're contracted for, a few windows or cabinets or something. GCM is really great at what they do, and they do it in a way that makes us feel excellent about paying them for it. Don't bother looking elsewhere, or trying to cut corners. We did, and here I am writing this review.

First the GOOD - the 3 person team was punctual and arrived on time; the team was personable, friendly and polite; they completed the work within the alloted time frame; the inside window cleaning was well done, and the refrigerator cleaning was thorough. The BAD - the overall cleaning was not up to par; for example, while they dusted the furniture, such as the coffee table and chairs, they simply did a topical swipe and did not dust between the chair slats and posts ie they did not do a thorough complete job; the bathroom was also not what I had hoped, as the mirror frame and wall surfaces had remaining "gunk" from prior tennants which required a bit of elbow grease and attention from myself to clean after the crew left; as I had ordered a through move-in cleaning I assumed more attention would have been paid to these details; the bathroom fixtures were polished well however.The two closets in the house (which are open to the bedrooms without doors) were not touched and dust remained on the shelves. I also feel the carpet was not vacuumed as well as it should have been. For the money, I was disappointed with the service performed. I would try another company before I would hire them again.

We love Green Clean Maine! The owner, Joe Walsh, met me our house to give me an estimate last year. I was sold right away. Joe is a super nice guy who is working to run the best company he can. We talked, did a walk through, and Joe gave me an estimate on the spot. Green Clean Maine has been cleaning our house for about a year. My husband and I both work and we have a toddler. We found we were chewing up a lot of precious weekend time cleaning. We feel like the money we pay Green Clean Maine is some of the best money we spend. Their office staff is very responsive when we need to change a cleaning date or have a comment on service. Overall, the cleaning quality has been wonderful. Because they use green cleaning supplies the house smells like lemon instead of chemicals when we come home. We've only had a couple of minor issues with small marks on the walls. I've talk to the office staff before the next cleaning and I leave the team a note on their comment card about the issue. In every case the marks have come off the walls at the next cleaning. The teams work in groups of two or three so they're really efficient and they check each others work. I've been home once or twice when the team has arrived and they are great people. I'd go out and have a beer with them any time. It's really nice to have folks like that in your home when you're at work. We feel really lucky that there is a cleaning service like this in Portland.

I found them on Angie's List. Their price may be a little high but one of the nice things about them is they use only environmentally safe products; that was a value. Their quality is very good and they are responsive; they call ahead of time and the owner has showed up at times to check on things. I will use them again in the future.

They use all green prepared products instead of chemicals which is great because I didn't have to worry about toxicity, especially since I have children and pets. They were professional, very friendly and timely.

These guys do amazing work. My home has never been cleaner! They are friendly, efficient, honest, dependable and do an excellent job at a very reasonable price. Best money I ever spent.
