The office staff is extremely professional. The move was scheduled smoothly and the movers were punctual. My issue was with the professionalism of the gentlemen moving my items into my new home. It rained on my move in day and I had to request multiple times that they put down protection for my floors which I had just cleaned, at great expense. They were bumping into walls and seemed to have little patience for the situation. I did call the office and gave them feedback which they seemed very receptive to.

The movers were rushing and as a result some boxes ended up in storage that were suppose to go to our condo, and vice versa. They also charge every time we need to go to get something from storage. They are also nice on the phone but often don't respond to left messages.

Five days prior to pick up, I became very concerned that another company scheduled to move me was, in fact fraudulent. Not knowing what to do, I turned to Angie's List. Because I lived in rural Maine, I needed a mover based in Maine but, at that time, there were no recommended movers. Angie's suggested I call Movers in Providence, RI, and the owner there recommended Earl W. Noyes, saying he was convinced they would do everything they could to help me out. That was exactly what happened! I spoke primarily with Don Olen at Noyes: he was always pleasant and available to discuss concerns. Noyes picked up my furniture and stored it in Maine while I hunted for an apartment here in Seattle. They then worked with Affiliated United Van Lines companies to get my and quot;stuffand quot; across the country and delivered. Everyone was professional, on time and personable. I packed my own belongings the only damage was caused by my packing. My piano was very carefully handled.

My daughter moved from Portland Me. to Sea Bright NJ --they were very pleased with the moving company |from start to finish. Everything they said would happen--did happen and more so!!!i did not know how much they paid but I know they felt it was competitive and fair!!

They truly were professional movers and coordinated everything very well. They were outstanding. Nothing arrived broken, damaged or went missing. I didn't have a whole truck to myself and ndash; I was using a shared truck and everything still ended up where it was supposed to.

.They did a really good job. They gave me an estimate and they ended up doing it for less then the estimate.I was pleased with that. They also said if we had someone that was cheaper then them they said they would match it. They told me they would do something and they did it. They were very honest and took great care with our possessions.

They did a great job on our move to Charlotte.

We moved several times in the past five years, so we know enough to purchase the insurance because things get broken. This is the only mover I had a problem with that didn't honor the insurance. They told us there was a deductible, and there is no deductible. They damaged some things that they didn't replace, so we're missing some things. I would absolutely not recommend them.

The initial visit by the company representative for an estimate was excellent. He was very professional and the quote was the best we received. The packing and loading was done well, but we were a bit rushed at the end and we did not receive a copy of the final paperwork. There was a miscommunication about the delivery date that caused a big problem for us on the receiving end. We had about a week that we were forced to wait for all our belongings. When we tried to resolve this issue, no one took responsibility or made an effort to contact the driver to come up with a solution. As it turns out, this could have been accomplished as he was in the area for a number of days prior to our delivery. The most unacceptable part of the experience was our interaction with the driver. When he arrived at our home, he was angry with us because our new home is in an area that is not accessible with a large truck. He was convinced that he was not going to be able to get up our road with the smaller shuttle truck and lashed out at us, saying that it was our responsibility to inform him and that it should have been a "common sense" understanding on our part to know the size of the company shuttle truck and that it could not negotiate the road. Even though this is a national company and he had been in touch with the local representatives (and had one of the local staff with him to help with the unloading), he kept arguing with us and repeating that it was our responsibility to know what size truck he should have used as a shuttle. The local staffer intervened and ultimately helped him get the truck up the road. Again, this is a national company so we assumed that staff from the Maine office would have talked to staff from the local office and received information about our neighborhood so that they would know in advance what kind of shuttle was required. As they did not, we had an unexpected charge for a shuttle and had to deal with the extremely unprofessional behavior of their driver. When we called to complain about the unprofessional and abusive behavior of the driver, the staff from Noyes were sympathetic but ultimately did nothing about it. We spent a lot of money on this move and I think that the prolonged wait and the driver's behavior that we experienced deserved some sort of formal response from the company. If they were not willing to compensate us in some way, a formal letter from the company with an action plan to resolve issues like these would have been appreciated. Based on their inability or unwillingness to address either the delivery date issue or the extreme rudeness of the driver, we would not use their services again.

We worked with them over the course of a couple of months. They were absolutely fantastic. We had a person assigned to our case that kept in contact with us. We were selling our house and buying a new one and had some trouble with it. They really kept in touch with us and helped us. They ended up saving us some money and went out of their way to negotiate the process.

We hired them a second time because we were so happy with them the first time. They moved a number of awkward objects and broke nothing. There were a number of challenges getting in the house and they still did well.

They were excellent. They went beyond all my expectations. They are wonderful people.
