David would fit us into his schedule and show us a house even when he had personal things going on! He'd show us a place right after coming back from Vermont, or all dressed up and on the way to a wedding! When we began having issues with our mortgage broker not being a "good fit" for us, he leant his opinion and gave us the confidence to let her know that we weren't satisfied with her services and that we'd be looking elsewhere. David gave us a suggestion of a person that he'd done business with for years. We interviewed this broker was so patient, helpful and super personable.
After seeing a bunch of houses and feeling like we'd never find a home, my fiance and I would bring up a house that we had seen that always sat in the back of our minds (the first house that we saw). We "liked" the house, but not what was behind the house (a building moving company with falling down shacks and huge demolition and work trucks). The house was also on a very busy street that led from one town to another near the mall. When my fiance and I brought it up to David that we "think" we want to see the house again, he would say "Why?" "You hated that company in the back." "You didn't like that you'd be hearing traffic going back and forth past your bedroom." David was truly helping us find the "right house" for us, and not a quick sale for him. We finally did find a house that we "love" that fits our commute and has many of the amenities that we wanted. David fought for us to get this home, and worked hard with the seller to come to an agreement that we all could be satisfied with.
During closing he even ran out to get me a coffee because I had worked a 14 hour day the day before and had trouble sleeping and then went back to work the morning of the big day. Since then he has returned all of our new homeowner questions promptly, swung by to see what we have done with the new place! During a side project when he was helping my fiance with something, I had his wonderful wife in for tea.
We have had an amazing relationship with David Shedd and I have already given his name to a friend from Massachusetts who is considering buying a house by next year. If my fiance and I decide to sell in the future we wouldn't consider choosing another agent. We are so lucky to have had an amazing first experience buying a home. We couldn't be happier!!!!
