 + -1 moreExcellent work. No muss, no fuss... if the dogs hadn't barked when they got there or left, you wouldn't have known they were except for the brand new insulated wire. They estimated $500-600 and it came in at $463, if I remember correctly.
Description of Work: Had a truck catch some wires and pull them off the including the main electrical line into the house. They came out the same day I called (a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend no less!!), took a look and temporarily patched the line and secured it to the house so as not to be a danger. Then came back on Tuesday, first thing in the morn after CMP had to come on an emergency call out, replaced and secured the whole line. I was worried because it was a holiday weekend, but the very nice woman I spoke to on the phone promised to get someone out that afternoon and they did...

 + -1 moreCasco Bay Electric was great. Easy to book a time, even for a relatively small job (6hrs). They were on time, professional in manner and flexible - we found more work than I orginally thought there would be when a tenant mentioned her bath fan didn't work. I plan to call CBE again to finish out some other necessary work
Description of Work: Old exterior lights were changed out, a bath fan was added, outlets switched out for GFI. Basic stuff, but a long laundry list.

 + -1 moreWe got a quote from them. When I called I talked to a very pleasant man. I made an appointment. He kept the appointment, and delivered the quote. Maybe not as quickly as he promised, but quickly. I don't have an answer to that question. I would have a quote, but we really like another provider, and would go back to them. Casco Bay is fine, but we have an relationship with the other company.

 + -1 moreAll my interactions with the company were excellent, the work was performed when they said it would be, and the bill was sent elctronically with an electronic payment option. Impressive. I have not yet seen the actual work as I will not be up there for about 2 more months.
Description of Work: This was work on a summer house performed in the winter months when I was not present. The supply cable from the power company came loose and the problem needed remedying.

Description of Work: We had just moved in and had some electrical issues (flickering light), need for GRI outlets, installation of a ceiling fixture & overall system check. They sent someone over right way, when others I had called did not even respond. The electricians who came were courteous and serious about helping. One was clearly in training. However, they weren't able to fix the flicker issue and did not find all the receptacles in need of GFI protection. They came back one more time, but still were not able to fix our problems and did not provide us with an updated breaker panel map as part of the overall system check. We ultimately used a provider who was recommended to us by a contractor and had not responded earlier because of family health issues. This individual solved the problem and resolved all the other issues. I did appreciate the prompt and courteous service of the Casco folks, and perhaps other service personnel or circumstances would result in a better outcome. I would try them a second time in an emergency.

The two electricians (needed) for this job solved a difficult wiring problem from my thermostat to the bedroom zoned radiator/heater that was not working , and thus no heat in the bedroom. It required considerable problem solving skills. The two electricians worked together as quickly as possible , figured the problem out ( condo on top floor and so it was complicated) and finished a job that made sure we had heat in that bedroom tonight before the seaside cold weather and wind comes all too soon. I would highly recommend Casco Bay because of skills of electricians , courteous and professional and promptness in responding and being prepared to fix it with the right equipment.
Description of Work: Solved a complex wiring mistake from the radiator heat to the thermostat that involved a transformer and snaking a new wire in to replace one that had been pinched by poor construction putting flooring in. I would highly recommend them. Chris

Description of Work: Provided all the electrical work for a new house. Jason was always on top of the plans, quickly resolved any issues and supported the other trades in the process. He also listened to special requests, researched alternatives and implemented novel solutions. He was disciplined to keep track of all work before the walls were closed. We still use him on new requests.

 + 0 moreIt was a wonderful experience! The workers were very professional and considerate as they worked around my family. The job was done on time and on budget. Whenever we had any questions about the project the workers took the time to help us understand the process and address any concerns we might have. Throughout the project the men kept things neat and orderly so that we could continue to function in the house. At the completion of the project they took the extra time to do a thorough clean-up job before they left. We are thrilled with the results of the electrical work and are very pleased with the services that were performed.
Description of Work: Casco Bay Electric rewired our kitchen for renovations, added recessed lighting in our kitchen and family room and wired our new garage.
