RON'S REPAIR PLUMBING HEATING & ELECTRICAL

Ron N. did come over and leave our friend's install job to begin. We had a small commercial building renovation to finish for an opening. He insisted that he could only come over on a Sunday. He charged us time and a half to view and quote. We gave him a deposit for the work. He came after hours and stayed late into the night. I couldn't understand what was taking so long. I spent one night at the job. He spent most of the time looking at the job and scratching his head clearly confused by what to do next, and we were paying him for this! Two or three times he "forgot" the parts needed to finish steps in the work, so of course that translated into additional time on each occasion when he came back "after hours". We were charged time and a half for almost every thing, even for things we didn't ask him to do. Ron straight wired in the bathroom vent and light. It was a cosmetic shoddy job, and you can't put the light on without the loud clamouring of the vent. Ron did NOT itemize the supply costs item for item which we requested. We did pay him the agreed to amount on our contract. He inflated the contract, (which was formated as a residential...NOT commercial with different requirements,) then put a tradesman's "silent lien" on our property without proper notice. We had no idea...he wanted the unjustified balance he had added to our bill. At the onset I told Ron what our budget was. His end charges were not in agreement to the written contract. To get his "cash in the end" he uses the "silent lien" so he figures he can get what he wants eventually...right or wrong. Our lawyer began discussions with his former lawyer who had dropped Ron as a client. We learned there were 6 other complaints. Ron details everything from his perspective and doesn't care if he is in non-compliance of his own statements. Months after the job we refinanced the improved property and discovered his lien. We were furious. Recently a friend said he had to meet a plumber for a sink repair job. He said he was coming "after hours". I asked him if it was Ron N. He said yes. I told my friend to ask Ron before he gives an estimate if he will charge him (the friend) for the call and estimate visit, because he charged us,and to be cautious about Ron's "blanket" charges, because they were certainly going to face extras above and beyond the quote. I called the attorney general's office to file a complaint. They told me they weren't organized to do much about it! I have a legal file on him with our case which we may still pursue. And as a footnote...my friends who let Ron leave their job to help me get our job done first for a business opening....the husband is an out of state plumber himself who did 90% of the work on their new home, working right beside Ron, and they too were charge much more than agreed to! Ron is unethical.
