We chose Owen Gomes after extensive research and lots of comparison shopping. Not only did he give us the absolutely best price....his work was perfect. He and his wife were easy to work with and very helpful. They were patient and answered a boatload of our questions, since we had no experience with granite. Having a U shaped kitchen, I wanted only one center seam. All the other fabricators I spoke with said it couldn't be done. Owen came out to do a template, measured, looked it over, and said yes it could. He did it...and it looks fabulous. We are more than pleased and highly recommend him.

Very helpful and informative on granite counter tops. Professional and knowledgeable

We received quotes from seven fabricators and Owen's price was the best. However, price isn't everything as we know, and we were careful about selecting someone with a reputation for excellent workmanship. Owen offered worthwhile suggestions and performed everything on time and with professionalism and humor. He was easy to work with, and his ideas made our job better. His two helpers were equally cordial and professional and knew their business well. Our new granite counter tops are a delight to look at, and the best such counters we have seen. The stone we selected was a difficult one to work with as all of the fabricators agreed, but Owen and his crew did a superlative job. The stone is perfectly smooth to the touch, including the areas underneath that can't be seen. I would not be possible for me to recomment him more highly than I do. I can understand why he's been hired to perform work as far away as Massachusetts! Owen is busy even in this economy, which by itself attests to his reputation and competitveness.

Perfect - called in initial inquiry and had counter top installed less than a week later. Owen and his wife were very pleasant to work with, Joanne suggested samples to look at on their web site based on my color scheme, Owen them brought samples to the house and made the template on a Thursday and returned to install on the next Monday. Install tok less than an hour. Counter top is beautiful - everything I hoped. Bathroom was perfectly clean when they were done.

Owen is great to work with. He answers his phone and lets you know if something changes. His counter tops fit well and the installation was smooth. I'd recommend him anywhere around Portland. He does his own work, and communicates well.
