Very Professional Company. Entire job went very well. Job took only 6 working days (during 1 1/2 week) to complete. I would rate the shingle work an A, but I had a few issues with some of the drip edges but they were immediately addressed to my satisfaction. I paid a premium price for the work, according to past bids, but Pearl has a great reputation, I was surprised they needed to be called back, but they quickly resolved my concerns, not leaving until I approved. I am looking forward to years of life from my new roof!

They were easy to communicate with. They sent photos through email to keep us up to date on progress. They had a lot of knowledge of the local area and able to get resources to our cabin quickly. Great work.

After having some other work done, we realized that the back deck supports had rotted out and needed immediate attention. The front porch also needed some attention in the near future. I had spoken with Troy Pearl on a prior occasion about potential work that needed to be done and we were planning some other home improvements using Pearl Contractors. When the more urgent issues arose, I contacted Pearl contractors first to see what was possible. They were so prompt in their response, so professional, and so well-organized that the work started in about a week, went smoothly and quickly, and turned out very well. They were responsive to all concerns we had along the way, and addressed problems that were not immediately apparent before the work started, billing us on a time-and-materials basis rather than via contract. We are pleased with the work that has been done and we would use them again. They get high marks and we would recommend them to others.

20-OCT-2014 Overall we are very pleased with the work. I will add a more detailed review in the summer after our new roof has had a chance to go through the winter and spring weather. 13-APR-2015 Spring update. Well, we survived the winter with no leaks in our roof. I would still recommend Pearl Contractors for any roofing work that you may need. Spring 2015. Contacted Pearl to inform them that the flashing around my chimney is leaking. August 2015 After some discussion with Troy, the owner and Chris his assistant manager we have decided that the flashing around the chimney should have been replaced at the time of the original installation. because it was not, Pearl Contractor's has replaced the flashing as a warranty repair. Pearls states this chimney flashing is a $750 value. I am happy to have a roof that no longer leaks.

Before re-roofing They covered my flower beds and ground around the house, brought in a dumpster/truck and then stripped off my roof shingles. They then cut out the roof and installed 2 new Velux Roof Windows (with installation kits, screens etc.), and shingled my vacation home using water/ice barriers, soffit vents and roof vents. I specified IKO architectural roof shingles. The job required releasing and reestablishing the supports for my chimney and vent pipe They also protected my upstairs from dirt and dust, covering all furniture and vacuuming at the end of the job. The job went very well: on time, on estimate and schedule. The yard and flower beds were completely free from shingle waste or pulled nails. Some of the protection and clean up details were specified in the contract, but Troy's crews clean up the jobsite as a general rule. Now, several months later after weekly rain storms, one dumping 5-inches of rain in one night, I am completely confident that the skylights are completely weather tight. There has been absolutely no sign of any problem. I could not be more pleased. They came in on scope, schedule, and budget with no fuss or bother. It makes me wonder why I submitted to years tension and disappointment with other contractors. The job was the second major project Troy has done for me in the last two years. I'm planning another project next year.

We originally found Mr. Pearl through this service. From the first phone call Mr. Pearl "Troy" was a professional and that carried through out the job. He was very detail oriented and settled any concerns that I had with answers that he had obviously gotten from years of experience. Once I explained what I wanted he gave me some options that I had not considered that actually saved us money. Once we decided on a price that was what I consider fair, we signed a contract that spelled out everything he and I were responsible for. Since this was a second home and I would not be there during the construction of the addition It was tough to put my faith in someone we had just met but it was worth it, Troy is a man of his word they were at the job when we agreed his people were neat and the workmanship was quality. I would not hesitate to recommend his operation to anyone. The job involved an addition to an existing log home, He started when he was suppose to and any delays were weather related or due to change orders, they matched the new part so that it looks like it was there from day one. The project also needed some site work as well as concrete, electrical, and plumbing. I really did not have any serious issues once we started and If I have any issues at all they are not with Pearl Contracting they were with the subs he used specifically the plumbing and alarm co. I'm pretty sure that if you ask Troy he either is not using them anymore or will tell you what the issues were. Regardless of the subs lacking Troy made what they were responsible for happen.

crew was very pleasant and professional. Worked late into the evening a couple of days to correct a problem created by the supplier of the sub flooring . Fit and finish of the building is excellent. The sub contractors were equally pleasant and proficient.

Work completed in 5 business days.

The roof on the house was in terrible shape; it had multiple problems including serious dipping between rafters and there was a nasty 5" drop at one point across the roof line. Pearl came in, removed all shingles and sheathing exposing the problems with the roof rafters. They straightened and braced or replaced all rafters, repaired the issue causing the 5" roofline drop, applied new sheathing, vents, and re-shingled the roof. They also rebuilt the soffits and fascia. It now looks great and more important is sturdy and structurally sound. The crew on site was amazing, they were responsive to my questions (and my suggestions), started on time each day, made the best use of the day, tarped the roof and picked up every day. It did not seem to bother them at all that I was a constant presence. Troy Pearl, the owner, was on site multiple times to ensure all was going well. At one point one of the tarps on the roof came loose after the work day; I called Troy and he had someone on site within 45 minutes to fix the problem. Overall I was very satisfied with all aspects of the project and would highly recommend this company.

It went good. They were very professional.

Troy's guys returned the spaces to like new condition -- When a problem arose with some replaced wood flooring, they returned ASAP and fixed the issue without a hitch -- I think this is important, because it demonstrated A "Stand Behind" their work attitude -- I cannot say enough good about Pearl.

Troy was very professional. He knew we were in a hurry to get the project done within a couple weeks, and as it turned out, it was done in a couple of days. The new roof looks great!!! Would highly recommend Pearl Contractors!!!

Pearl Contractors surpassed my expectations and met my goals. The work was designed, shown in CAD drawings, then reduced in scope at my request. . The work was performed on scope, on schedule, and on budget. All phone calls and emails were answered in a timely fashion. You might expect those things in a major construction project, but to find them in a company that does home repair is rare. I was delighted by the project. The materials arrived 2 hours before the crew. They started and finished 6 days later just as considerate, cheerful and hard working as they started. The job had some challenges: There was limited laydown space to set up for the job. The crawl space ranges from 2 feet to 4 -5 feet high, so all work had to be performed squatting or crouched under the building. The building is 110 years old and crew demonstrated both long experience and high standards in building a new carrying system for parts of the building. They lost no time in getting the work done: they knew what to do and how to do it. The crew was highly qualified in all aspects of home building. The job site was left cleaner than they found it. All old and discarded materials from the tear out were removed during and at the end of the job. I will definitely use the company again.

I have worked with Troy before -- Pearl built my Barn -- He gave me his estimate, we signed a contract and his guys arrived as scheduled -- They do extremely methodical and detailed work and make it look easy -- Eric and Keith are World Class Trim Carpenters and Todd, his Framing Carpenter is a stickler who strives for perfection -- -- It would be hard to ask for a better job than they delivered --

They were wonderful. They were quick. They just came and did it in three days. They cleaned up their mess, were very nice to work with and we didn't have any problems with them at all. Our roof looks great. We have no problems with it. Their customer service was very good because Mr. Pearl himself takes care of that. He comes to your home, does the estimate and comes back to your home after the job is done and makes sure everything is OK and you're satisfied. We did some research before we did it and their price was in the middle.

Found Pearl Contractors off of Angie's List -- Gary and Eric, the two members of the Pearl Team who did the majority of the work did a Terrific Job -- Could not have been more Professional, Polite, willing to Answer Questions, nor paid more attention to detail -- It was Great to have True Professionals doing Quality Work -- The Barn Looks Awesome -- cannot Wait to Finish it in the Spring... .

I had a very bad experience with them. I bought all the materials, including the tile, grout, and spent over a $1,000 on them. We had a verbal agreement and I sent him some pictures of what I wanted over the internet. I did not want to sign a contract and he hadn't told me he was bringing an assistant, either. Finally the work got finished with another person after searching around another week or two. I was carrying the materials, too, but, he didn't want to do that either. He wanted half the money up front and to me, it was ridiculous. I don't believe he was going to do the work, I believe he was going to get the assistant to do it, we went back and forth over every detail. The price he quoted was the same as I paid, but, he needed money and he must have been broke, he wasn't going to trust me. He knew where I lived, he was in my house, it was unpleasant, and I have a quarter of a million dollar house. He came on time. He didn't negotiate properly. He breached the verbal agreement and he was unprofessional. I did not see his work and I can't evaluate the quality of his work.

I was very pleased with the work done. It was more costly than expected, but they were willing to take on the challenge of extending the top roof over the addition roof. Being insured was an important factor in hiring them, along with the prompt reply I received to my email. The entire process was done professionally and they stuck by their word that the customer has to be happy. I rated the price as a B because it was a good price for the work done. Since I didn't have any other professional estimates given to me, I can't honestly rate the price as excellent. I would definitely do business with this company again. They stated that they don't have much business in the Milo area, but they were willing to come and do the work.

Work was done as requested, no mess, no short-cuts. I believe quality is superior.

Troy priced the job, started when planned, completed the job on schedule and on budget. Work was neat, clean , and high quality. Troy is easy to work with, very skilled and honest.

The workers were professional and pleasant, the job was completed on time and on budget, the house looks fabulous. We look forward to having this contractor build an addition and/or garage when we are ready to upgrade again.

We had started a renovation of our bedroom two years ago and became too busy to do the work ourselves. I called Troy Pearl because he had done a fantastic job on the exterior renovations of our house last year. He came to work up the estimate, when we discovered that the loud popping noise I had heard the previous week was actually snow load putting downward pressure on our roof and causing a crack in the interior ceiling that ran the length of the house. Troy waited patiently while we went through the process of having our homeowner's insurance review the damage and work the claim. Troy was ready to start a week after we gave the green light. As we have come to expect, he completed the project on time, on budget, and professionally. I showed him an Asian lamp that I wanted to use as inspiration for custom closet doors. When they were hung, my husband and I were both wowed. The bedroom looks great, the ceiling is ready for another winter, and we couldn't be happier with the work.

After conversations with friends who had suffered through difficult experiences with contractors, we knew that there was risk involved in hiring someone to do the work for us. The experience that we have had with Pearl Contractors has not only exceeded our expectations ? it has been enjoyable. This was a major undertaking that we had planned to perform ourselves. After watching Troy and his crew do the job in three weeks, we now realize that our own efforts would have taken at least the summer to complete and could not possibly have yielded the same beautiful results. Troy kept the job to the agreed price, without cutting corners. We have high quality, warranteed materials that will last. Even better, the craftsmanship on the fascia, the deck, and the trim is beautiful to look at. We especially appreciate the back deck with its ?picture frame? detailing, and we look forward to warm weather when we can get out and enjoy using it. Small, sculptural details such as beveled edges on the deck planks and curves on the window sills will serve as a lasting reminder of Troy's attention to detail and pride in his work. Because of Troy's experience and foresight, we now have a finished project that is appealing and practical. He listened to our needs for our home to be well insulated and welcoming. He anticipated aspects of the project such as replacing light fixtures and doorbells to have a completely new and finished look, as well as adding a ridge vent to improve the ventilation of our home and prevent condensation in the roof after we improved the insulation. It?s hard to imagine that home renovations can be fun, but that has been our experience with Troy and his crew working on our home. Each day, we looked forward to coming home and seeing what had been completed that day. When work was underway, they all worked hard, but also took the time to talk with us and play with the dog, aspects of his style that indicated that we were not just a source of income, but also customers whose satisfaction and comfort were important to him. The personalized, friendly attention that he provided was reassuring during the job, and reduced our stress about the process. When the time comes to replace our bathroom or add an addition, there is no doubt that we will call on Pearl Contractors to do the work. We recommend him to our friends and neighbors without reservation, and we look forward to seeing him again.
