Description of Work: Jean has fixed almost everything we have ever needed in Massachusetts and Maine since approximately 2000. We have used him for amost everything except possibly fine cabinet making, etc. He is a hard worker, is able to analyze and fix almost anything, is reasonable in his pricing, and he gets things done.

+ -1 moreJean was very easy to reach, he gave me accurate estimates, arrived promptly and did great work. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Jean found and fixed a leak at an octagonal window above the garage. The builder failed to fix the problem but Jean fixed it and it hasn't been a problem since. Jean also fixed a problem we were having with a window seat that was letting in cold air and replaced weatherstripping on two doors, He repaired damage to the entrance of one of our garage doors. He lifted our shed which had sunk down onto the ground.

+ -1 moreHe was efficient and neat in doing this work. He repaired and reinforced an 8ft high cedar fence, leveled and repaired a fairly large shed that suffered various types of rot and had a tilt due to being undermined by water. He was personable yet professional but most importantly, he is an honest man. One repair required more materials than he had first thought were needed. At time of final payment, I offered to pay a bit more because of this and he refused. Finally, Jean is quite experienced so I will be able to hire him for all the household repairs I expect will be needed in the next few years.
Description of Work: Jean performed a variety of repairs and tasks on his first job for me. He build a new enclosure for our emergency generator, repaired and re-leveled a large shed, repaired a tall cedar fence and reset a lam post in cement.

+ 0 moreHis estmate of five hours to complete the job was right. He installed the countertop and remove the old. He also took the old countertop with him so we did not have to worry about disposal. He did a very nice job. I would hire him again.

+ 1 moreHe got everything done so quickly. I have used him for everything from all types of repairs, building structures, repairing shingles. He can do just about anything. I have no hesitation leaving him in my house, and his pricing is very reasonable.
Description of Work: I have used him for about 10-15 years. We had a number of things that needed to be repaired. Someone recommended I try Jean, I showed him all the things I needed done. The Monday before Christmas I showed up around 11 at night, and I noticed there had been a leak in the ceiling, and the drywall was hanging down. It was a real mess. I called Jean at 7AM the next day, he was at my house in 15 minutes. By noon he had cleaned up everything that I couldn't clean up, and put a temporary ceiling in. He went outside and figured out what was wrong, and by the next day he had re-shingled the entire front portion of the house.
