Mr. Roy was very thorough and professional throughout the entire process. He was also very quick in getting the report to us.

Roy was outstanding. I would recommend him with glowing reviews. Prompt, professional. Painstaking on even small details. I've purchased other homes before - and never, ever had the level of detail provided by Roy's service. He's a bit on the expensive side - but it's worth every penny. If you consider using Roy - expect the inspection to take a bit longer - he is that thorough.

We had Roger inspect and do thermal imaging on a home we are looking to purchase (closing at the end of April 2013). Roger was timely and thorough and we were not disappointed with the inspection or thermal imaging. He arrived on time, took his time to complete the inspection and go over items with us as needed (turned out there wasn't much wrong with the home, only a few DIY items that needed fixing and a couple of immediate items that would need repair). He spent 4+ hours at the home during the inspection. He isn't a man of much chit chat, we liked that a lot, but he was still friendly. He answered questions thoroughly and in plain English as well as suggesting a cost base to give us an idea of what we were looking to spend to correct the problem. His final report was very detailed and will be an asset for us to get the house perfect while we are still living in it. The thermal imaging was also very helpful in telling us what was going on behind the walls for insulation, pest problems and water damage. Roger's pricing was the top of what we found for all the items we had, I called half a dozen inspectors and the lowest I found was $575 but my feeling was you get what you pay for and Roger was more responsive than the cheapest companies so we decided it was worth the extra money and hired Roger. Its hard to say if we got more for paying more as we didn't hire the other professionals but we are certainly happy with the inspection and Roger did and the report we received. Roger made a small error in judgement when going back to pick up the Radon test at the home while the home owner was there (the Radon was picked up the Saturday after the inspection which was on Thursday). According to the seller (we did not confront Roger on the issue), when he was at the home picking up the test he stopped to talk a moment with the current home owner. He stated to the home owner that the and quot;inspections went greatand quot; and there were and quot;no issues with the homeand quot;. The seller took this as there was nothing wrong with the home that needed to be fixed (which is not the case, there were four items which we wanted the seller to fix, two being pretty major issues as there was arsenic in the water and the radon air levels were very high and need corrective measures). Due to Roger's statements the sellers felt that we were and quot;nit pickingand quot; and thus would not negotiate with us on fixing any items. We provided the report Roger sent to us to to the seller but the damage was done as the seller felt the inspectors words were as good as the report and the inspector suggested there was nothing wrong. What was actually said will remain a mystery but we were a bit disappointed that he suggested anything at all to the seller as they were not his client, we were. Overall we were very happy with Roger and would recommend him to anyone looking to obtain the same services that we did.

Roger Roy came to the house I am buying and performed a fantastic inspection going into every space available and checking for any defects, imperfections, problems, or hazards that might be present. Upon completion and within 3 days he provided me with a written detailed report that included pictures and recommendations based on urgency to be repaired. Very professional, very thorough! I would recommend this person to anyone who wants the complete scoop on a house they are considering buying!
