Work was given to sub contractor. Sub contractor received no oversite or instructions from prime contractor. No workers comp insurance. A man was injured on the job and was fired to prevent a suit. The crew worked hard when they showed up. They were staying at a motel 80 miles away. The men were paid cash every day. No with holding taxes. The sub carried no insurance at all. Complaints were not answered. There was no supervision. The job was done poorly because they had no experience. House wrap was not provided by the prime contractor and it was installed incorrectly. The deck was built and torn apart 3 times because it was built wrong. The design was not followed because the prime contractor supplied none. I supplied the plans to the prime. When I intervened with the sub I was told "You will get what I give you!" Attempts to get rid of the sub went on def ears. The sub was unable to install the garage doors because they did not know how to start the job. The opening for the doors is 10 feet. .The prime contractor did all measuring and ordering. The doors were ordered 9 foot wide. The prime contractor wanted to reduce the opening to fit the 9 foot doors. A large fight happened when i refused. The prime stopped all work. When the work resumed The crew spent 2 days trying to install the garage doors. I had to show the workers how to go about installing the doors and to tell them that they received the wrong hardware. I spent a week teaching them to install my garage doors. This should have been done in 2 days at the most. I had to finish the adjustments myself because they did not know how. I hired a second contractor to look at the job and this provided information for my lawyer. I will provide names of others who have been injured by these folks, all you have to do is ask. I am a master electrician and I still was screwed by them. One last thing, I was never given the key to the garage doors. I had to hire a locksmith to make one.

The proposal was very descriptive and the Project mgr was thorough in the review. We would definately consider any future referances with this company. We opted out of the proposal as we decided it wasn't time for us at this time.

There was one guy, his name was Lance Baker. He owns his own company. It was an awful experience. He put in a sliding glass door and a window. He worked on the lock three times. It caused damage to the window frame. The window that he put above the sink was not even the right size, it was not the one that we ordered. I'm still mad about that. He did not even come out to finish the job. I would not recommend him to anyone at all.

For the attached garage, they gave with a lot of thing in it I did not want. For the detached garage, they gave me just the price, they gave me no specs on the detached garage. They did not give me a list of referrals, whereas the other company gave that voluntarily. I have seen their work in the area and they do good work. I did not give me exactly what I wanted upfront and I had to ask for references and that is the only reason I am going to go with the other company. They were upfront with everything else. They were on time and they called. There was nothing wrong with them, I just went the one better suited me.
