I've pretty well included it above. The only additional detail was the first job ended up being a lot more extensive then first thought - The retaining wall is on a very steep hill and involved a "crib" type of design, going deep into the hill and probably doubling the labor and materials and L & A did the job without complaint and for the quoted price & like I said, sourced out the additional railroad ties. I can't imagine going to anyone else for my landscaping needs.
Description of Work: A & L Landscaping has actually performed 3 jobs for me and consulted on a 4th. Work included dismantling and repairing a large railroad tie & chain link retaining wall. Job was large, price was very reasonable and quality of work excellent. Owner of L &A Landscaping went above and beyond responsibilites to locate and obtain & transport "real" railroad ties. Second job was grading and laying a flagstone patio with appropriate drainage and turning completion over to me after teaching me how to do it - I had wanted DIY but was more then I could handle. Third job was completing another one of my DIY jobs: Correcting and completing my design and attempted construction of very elaborate curved stone steps from the patio to an elevated 4 foot deck, 3 1/2 feet wide at the deck level and 8 feet wide at patio level, and part of a retaining wall. Both Lowes and Home Depot shook their head at my plans and said they couldn't begin to design them. L & A did a beautiful job despite my math error, computing total rise and and distance from deck to patio. again price was very reasonable, again despite the headaches from "my input and good ideas". They were patient and respectful of my suggestions and letting me feel like I was in charge even though my measurements made my ideas impossible. They easily could have charged me three times what I was charged. The $1000 dollar price above was the amount for the first job and was the least expensive of all the jobs.

I have used them several times. I have been very happy with them. They came and went three days, so I thought the price was going to be through the roof. It came out to only $1000. We had to tear down the job three times, but they got it right in the end.
Description of Work: They helped me with a large job involving a staircase to a deck I was building. He has also come by and given me consultation advice.
