Description of Work: Marc repaired both our GE refrigerator and our Fisher Paykel washing machine. 1) Refigerator: The icemaker wasn't working and Marc diagnosed the problem right away - it needed a replacement part. To save us money, Marc suggested we but the part ourselves through eBay and gave us the part numbers that would work in our model fridge. He could have obtained it himself and marked it up, but he said we'd save by ordering it, and having him come back to install it. After he installed it, we still had a problem, and he came back and made an adjustment, at no extra charge, that worked. 2) Washing machine: It kept tripping the "unbalanced" alarm, even when everything was fine. Marc looked at it, ran some tests and said he believed it was a circuit board. He went to a local parts store and called to say the part would be about $150 and would take a few days to arrive. I told him to order it. Then Marc called back again, to say he had another thought - the problem might be in the type of hoses we were using (anti-flood), and he'd like to try replacing those instead of ordering the much more expensive circuit board. The hoses worked - once again, Marc did the job and saved us money - money that I would have paid without question because how would I know any better?
