The overall experience was very bad. First problems they took half the price in advance and said they would be back in a week and start the job,but didn't show up for six weeks. We got a leak in the roof that we never had before and they would not fix it. They did not come back to put the gutters on for six more weeks and did not complete them. They did not send the warranty information to the shingle company so we did not get our fifty year warranty on the shingles.

This is a bad experience. Paid 4800.00 on May 31,2007. Told materials and work should begin in one to two weeks. After numerous calls and excuses work done August 28, 2007. Gutters not done. Staging left up for seven weeks, then gutters installed. One gutter not right length. This was October 19,2007. Roofing started to leak after first rain on approx September 8, 2007. Roofer did not respond and next rain more leaking. Angry call and they came out and covered roof with blue tarp. Later came back and said leaking fixed and tarp removed. Next rain same leaking. Tarp put back up on roof and has been there since. I called twice this week (April 30, 2008) and complained of more leaking in different spots and no response from roofer. Hope I don't need lawyers or small claims to try to settle this. GAF area representative last fall said they could not inspect my roof and my complaints until their certified Master Elite Roofer completed the job and certified the work so that I could get my warranty. Since they (the roofers) have not finished and sent a report GAF Rep said that they would not intervene since the work was not all finished. Until and unless the roofer certifies that the job is done I get no help from GAF even though they have certified the roofer and are supposed to warranty the work. No report --no warranty!!! Will try to settle this soon but am not hopeful. May need to get another roofing company to finish so I can get the tarp off my roof and the leaking stopped.
