Dan Kellogg Plumbing

I am a business owner in the seacoast doing both flips and project management for client renovations. After a series of unfortunate events and delays on a particular job with my previous plumber, I was put in contact with Dan. Having had no history or established relationship with Dan, he and his sister-in-law went absolutely above and beyond to keep our project timeline on track, promptly communicating with the building department about permits and inspections, keeping me informed along the way as project manager, and immediately making room for our job in his schedule understanding our predicament. Given that the homeowners only had 1 bathroom, we can't express how invaluable it was to have such an organized, responsive, and punctual plumber and business owner on our team for this job. We will be utilizing Dan's services on as many jobs as he's able to accommodate moving forward!

I called him on a sat. Night and heard back within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem over the phone with me and had a new water heater installed by Tues. he price shopped different options and found me a great product at a fair price. This is the 4th time I have hired Dan and he has been nothing but a professional in every sense.

I sent an email on February 23rd and never heard back. This was my first attempt to use Angies List and it was a big disappointment. I may try someone else but I expected better.

My new and quot; go toand quot; guy for plumbing issues in the seacoast area.On the night of the 25th my heating (FHW) system went down . When I awoke the house was cold so I called my heating oil provider. He came within 2 hours and met me at the door talking on his cell phone. I showed him to the furnace and he looked at it for about 5 minutes before saying that I had a freeze up somewhere and needed a plumber. He also said to replace two valves on the system and left... while still talking on his cell phone! I was billed $188.00 for this service call of 10 minutes duration and still had no heat in the house. I then came to Angies list and found Dan Kellogg Plumbing. The tempature outside was around zero with a strong NW'ly breeze blowing lowering wind chill tempatures well below zero I had to get heat into the house quick or risk serious damage.I called Mr Kellogg and explained the situation. He was at my house within 50 minutes. He had the proper valves on his truck as well as and all the other stock and equipment to quickly and properly effect repairs to the system. He had the system drained down and the repairs effected within an hour. He also noticed that my return shut off valves were the screw type located on the circulators. I told him not to close these cause the last time they were closed it took a couple weeks for the valves to properly reseat and stop leaking. He then suggested that I replace then with butterfly valves which again he had on his truck. He did so and with that effected we had heat back on in the house 1 hour and a half after he arrived. He then stayed around for another 2 and a half hours to make sure that all the air was out of the system and personally verified that each loop was delivering heat to all rooms served. He also flushed the entire systems water and replaced it with fresh. This was important as the old water remaining in the system was black with rust and debris. That was a contributing factor to the water fill valve and safety valves failure with this debris clogging them up. All told Mr Kellogg was at my house for about 4 hours, For this he only billed $335.00 for labor and materials. When compared to the $188.00 I paid for the cell phone talking repair man puts in sharp foucus the delineration between a good service provider and a bad one. I have since changed my oil service provider over this incident and his intraniance to modify his bill. It costs me 6 cents more a gallon now but hey... thats a lot of useless service calls. I highly recommend Dan Kellogg to all whom my be seeking a good qualified plumber.

Everything went GREAT. Dan responded promptly, was professional and personable and got the job done quickly. I really appreciated him fitting us into his schedule. If any plumbing issues come up I will without a doubt be calling Dan again!

I called Dan in order to evaluate a plumbing leak in our upstairs shower. Every time the shower was activated, it would leak through the underlying floor, creating a puddle in the kitchen, beneath. After replacing the spindle in the shower valve (twice), the leak persisted. I could not see where the water was coming from, but without fail, every time the shower was activated, a puddle would form in the kitchen. Dan arrived on time, and was very courteous and professional. After looking at my shower for about ten minutes, he pinpointed the source of the leak! I was very impressed, and a little embarrassed, having spent so much time trying to fix the leak myself. It turned out not to be a plumbing leak after all (tile surrounding the shower were loose, allowing water to seep into the wall assembly).

Hi, Dan has helped my family with all plumbing issues over the past 3 years. He has an amazing ability to understand any situation - he is kind and hard-working He did go out of his way twice to help us. . . * New countertop needed some help to connect to water (Oops - didn't plan right before I had family coming). Dan came over on a Sunday and helped us before he had a family trip planned. * Backed up and quot;toiletand quot; about a year ago. Water was flowing out of the toilet - my husband called in a panic after he tried to fix it himself. . . . I was in flight. My husband called Roto-Rooter at 5p and left a message. I landed right after and called Dan. He was at the house in 30 minutes. He stopped the water, pulled the toilet, and cleaned up (which I thought I should do.) Seamless help and we were OK the next day. Roto Rooter never called back. Dan gives personal service at it's best!

He has saved us at least twice with emergencies, he was here within 10 minutes and we never got a call back from the national chain that my husband called. I would over the top recommend him based on his customer service, he is not your ordinary plumber, a different kind of plumber. He is just the nicest guy you will ever meet and the work he has done is above anything any other plumber that has ever been out here. He was going on vacation with his family and we had an emergency and he came over on Sunday.
