No follow through. Got some else.

You expect drywall mud to get on the subfloor, but these guys also left spoiled open food and beer bottles around the job site. When I called management, they denied their guys would do that. The next day the garbage was gone, but a week or two later the port-a-potty guy complained that there were beer bottles and take-out stryofoam boxes interfering with pumping out the john. There was a bulge in a baseboard area that my carpenter chipped out - he found a drywall knife had been left between the wall board and the framing. The tile guy left written messages on the drywall telling them where to stop mud/tape so he could bring shower tile up to the ceiling in the master bath- they ignored the message and plastered the shower anyway. Most importantly, the sanding was poorly done, in some places there's large circular scars from a palm sander. I called to get them back out, but my wife had just sent the check before I let her know what was going on, so we never saw them again. We spent a ton on this project, and unfortunately if the walls look bad, it doesn't matter how well everything else turned out, it looks like it was done on the cheap.

Mark from Atlantic, who came out to give us an estimate on the job, was very professional. He provided us with a lot of information and answered all of our questions. He was quick to follow-up with a written estimate. It was immediately obvious to us that Mark and his team (who are either his relatives or who have worked for him for decades) know exactly what they are doing. Each person that came to the house for the various stages of the job was very professional, courteous, nice, and best of all, did a fantastic job. The walls are as smooth as a babies bottom. I can't find any rough spots, and the walls look absolutely seamless. They did a superior job from top to bottom. And it was no easy job with the cathedral ceilings. I highly recommend Atlantic. They are the best at what they do. They used excellent quality materials, including the paint, which I think is called Tough Hide (sherman-williams). The final price matched the estimate. They may charge a few dollars more, but if you have a nice place and want a superior drywall job, then go with Atlantic Drywall. They did a great job for us.
