Charlie was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions throughly. He was a little more expensive than a previous quote I received. I would have definitely hired him for my annual wood stove cleaning but he did not specialize in the particular brand I had.

Charlie came when promised to install a new stainless steel chimney. His price was reasonable. He was direct and complete about what he intended to do, and then proceeded with the work. He was efficient, and worked continuously until complete. The workmanship was first rate, he was personable, polite, and professional. I would use him again for any sort of chimney work and repairs.

I called this company based on reviews from Angie's List and local advertising. An appointment was set up to check my chimney and get an estimate to rebuild/repoint my chimney. Charlie came, inspected the work to be done and said he would get back to me with the estimate. After a week, I emailed and phoned, left a voice message on his answering machine and no response. One week later I did the same and still no response.

Custom fit and installed a stainless steel chimney lining in my chimney. Very responsive, recommended another company to accomplish some pre requisite work, they were outstanding, and was extremely professional. All exposed flooring was covered for protection prior to performing any work and thoroughly cleaned after all work accomplished. 5 stars...

Very well. The wood stove was removed, roof top cap was remove and then the chimney cleaned with a brush. The ash was then cleaned out by way on the access in the basement. Afterward everything was put back together, very professional and neat.

|Went as planned

I called Charlie to ask him to inspect my chimney that vents my oil furnace. It was getting old; I needed a new cap; and it had developed an exterior icing problem the previous winter, so I was concerned that I needed a new chimney. He arrived on-time and went up on the roof and dropped a camera down the chimney to inspect. He said it was showing age, but it was still in satisfactory condition and I did not need a new chimney right now. I appreciated his honestly. He offered some suggestions as to the possible cause of the ice, but I wanted to be pro-active and not run into problems in the middle of winter. I asked him to send me a quote for a new chimney. His quote was reasonable based on other people I'd known who had new chimneys installed. I asked for a copy of the specs and a certificate of insurance that were required by my condo association. Both of these documents were provided quickly. The installation was performed on 10-8-13. Charlie worked by himself; no helpers. He was very neat, methodical and with attention to detail. He had to enlarge the opening in my concrete foundation for the chimney vent to attach. Before he left he patched the concrete from the inside and out. I was concerned about the nail holes in my siding and roof left over from the previous chimney brackets. He filled those in with silicone. He was very pleasant to work with.

Charlie was on time, did a wonderful job with no mess, and the price was reasonable. I will definitely have him out to do work again.

At first I contacted Charlies Chimneys for a chimney clean and inspection. This was done for $150, and included written recommendations as well as pictures of the inside of my chimney. Charlie found two safety hazards that needed to be taken care of and he was able to do all the work in less than a week from the initial inspection. I believe Charlie is one of the few people left that cares not only about what he does, but cares about the customers experience. The inspection was done on a Friday and I received my quote that evening for the needed work as per my request. Knowing that I wanted to complete the project as soon as possible, Charlie fit me in for the following Thursday. All work was completed on time, as quoted and with no mess.

They were clean and efficient. They came right away. Friendly and professional. They are full service. They do repairs and linings as well.

He came on time, did what he said he would do, and charged me exactly what he stated on the phone.

This was a completely satisfactory experience. The work was done promptly by a very pleasant and professional individual who explained the process to us and completed it cleanly and quickly.
