Perkins Paving did a great job paving our driveway in 2022. They returned in 2023 to seal coat our 12 year old portion and the new 150 foot extension added last year. The crew was very professional and took extreme care to precisely seal around the building foundations. All the cracks in the 12 year old portion were sealed using hot sealant prior to beginning the work. Several neighbors have complimented on how beautiful the driveway looks now.

Mike Perkins did the estimate and it was more expensive than the others but I hired him due to him being local and having done a lot of work around the town. at first it appeared they did a good job however after the first rain storm there was standing water. The puddles were not too deep however when I contacted him about it he said it was no big deal. He said as long as the puddles didn't cover a penny then it met state regulations. The biggest puddle did cover a penny however. He also said they grade at a one inch per 10 foot pitch but when placing a level down on the driveway it is clear they did not grade to this standard. driveway was not pitched properly therefore there are multiple areas with small amounts of standing water. A $5,000 brand new driveway should not hold any water! Upon stating my concern his response was " I'm twice your age so don't tell me how to do my job. The driveway is fine, don't worry about it". Would not recommend his services as they will not back up their work and get defensive when given criticism. also would recommend if you do hire him to make sure he writes out a contract stating exactly what the work scope will be and guaranteeing a proper pitch! Cover your butt. I wish I did.

The job was done poorly and left streaks in several parts of the driveway. Upon meeting me to discuss, the estimator agreed to reduce the cost by one half. Now that I see more of the workmanship I realize that even that was too much. My driveway looks like I hired some strangers at the Home Depot parking lot to sealcoat it. Could not have been more disappointed in the finished product.

I've used them for 27 years, they put 2 new driveways in and they were sealing in between time, I have a big driveway and turn around areas. The price is not cheap, the price they're charging me is like I can practically have the whole porch rebuilt but I'm waiting to see how it all turns out and they scheduled a certain time and they changed it several times, like they were supposed to come yesterday so I waited, I was busy and I waited and then they would call and say it's raining and we can't so they came today, that kind of things. We're in the middle of it, they would report back when it's all good and complete. The driveway replacing is good, they did resealing job that was terrible and that was done by another member of the family and I told them about it. They tell you when they're coming and they came and they do a neat job, they clean up everything and that's very good.

One issue with Perkins paving is that we were very uncertain when the job was going to take place, and we were trying to time house painting around it so the painters wouldn't leave marks on the driveway with a cherry picker. Once the work commenced, they were quick. We did ask them to regrade the drive way so that we wouldn't have any standing water in the corner of the driveway which had been a problem before. It is less of a problem now, though still mildly so.
