Bragg installed a carpet that was on punchlist as seam down middle room showing. This was unacceptable, came out, tried repair, did not take. Carpet is in room barely used. One time vacuum, pulls apart due to fauly install. Contractor tried to blame client. Photos, texts and emails prove at time install issue. Avoid this contractor and his blame game. Filing Claim against Roger Ackerson installed as well as Lowe's Bangor

Ron's team did a great job and were very easy to work with. Although they do general carpentry, they seemed very competent roofers, with their lead guy clearly very knowledgeable. They showed up on time and were EXCEPTIONALLY personable. You could talk with them about the work and they'd explain what they were doing. I was working on a side project myself flashing the deck and they even took a moment to show me how to do it right. They did make a mistake in the skylight flashing and we had a leak the next day -- but they came out to fix it on a SATURDAY on a holiday (July 4) in the rain. So I was really impressed with their responsiveness.

Description of Work: Was a contractor for Home Depot and I was redoing my kitchen. I could not get him to call back in a timely fashion, worker's were overheard talking inappropriate while they thought no one was home, took longer than estimated.

He is awesome, and I will continue to use him. I took him over to my sister-in-law as well.
Description of Work: I had some remodeling done by Ron Bragg. I had them put a deck on my place this summer. It was a huge deck.
It was a big job and they were relatively fast (about two-three weeks) and the house looks great. All members of the crew were polite and pleasant. I also thought Ron charged a reasonable amount for the job his crew did. We are having them back to put a porch on our home next year.
Description of Work: Ron and his crew replaced the roof and repaired the chimney on our 54-year-old home. They also insulated and sided our house and replaced five windows.

Mr Bragg was to meet with my husband to look @ the roof of our daughter's home to install metal roofing, he was 3 hours late showing up and discussed the job with our daughter. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get an estimate, only after we called several times. Mr Bragg showed up at my home unannounced on Sun July 14 w/ written estimate & wanting down payment of 1/2. Said he would start the job on July 22, 2013. Did not call us or our daughter at any time after that. Did not show up to start the job until Thurs Aug 1 @ 12:30, workers immediately took a lunch hour and were gone by 3PM. Did not show up on Fri due to rain, no communication from any one, they do not work weekends. Came the next week & finished job. Mr. Bragg stated that his workers would be able to remove the satellite from the roof and then re-install it, they could not get the satellite to work after re-setting it. We had to call the satellite company and they charged $50 for a service call. Mr Bragg ordered & installed the wrong color metal roofing, it was suppose to be a dark Charcoal gray shade, instead it is a very light Old Town gray shade, since the house has light color siding there is no contrast at all, the house looks washed out, Mr Bragg is the one who suggested the Charcoal color & then ordered the wrong materials. After the job was completed Mr Bragg offered to come to my home to pick up payment before I had seen the work he had done, when I brought the color & the satellite to his attention he then claims he did not guarantee that his workers could re-set the satellite, I told him that he did leave the strong impression that his workers could do this, he said to take the cost of the service call off his bill, then when I told him about the color, he was sure he was right, when he checked his paper work, he realized he was mistaken & took $200 off the final bill for the wrong color choice, the house still does not look as good as it could. Mr Bragg and his workers left 3 pieces of equipment at my daughter's home for over a week after they finished the job, we called him to let him know the equipment was left behind, he said he would get it and then left it in her yard for a week
Description of Work: installed a metal roof on our daughter's home so she could list it for sale, I paid for the work done.

He himself is very charming. Lead me to believe he had highly qualified workers. The first young man who worked in my home was messy and slow and Ron had to re do the majority of his work. The time line went out the window with this worker. The second (after he let the other worker go...he said) gentleman was better nice. Good work. Ron never came to inspect the final job where I would have told him... They scratched my brand new tub all to pieces..my vanity brand new has a big chip in the side..the sink is all scratched and still to this day has grout stuck in it, my new ceiling has a brown line along the walls of the shower where we will have to re paint and the tile sealer that was wiped on my beautiful tile was not put on uniformly as in a good light u can see all the spots that was missed. We will re do. My new tile floor is not straight..and the grout has a black stain in it where he said he scrapped out and re did..well he did do, however, the dark is back. They also broke the bottom step on my back deck..and never told me..we found out when I went to step on it and almost broke my neck..and one of the boys who worked here put a bucket or something in my NEW kitchen sink and twisted it around in there scratching the whole thing up. I paid Ron... However..a week or so after I wish I had kept about 1000.00 out so I can fix my problems.

Ron came out and we discussed the projects, he gave me a quote I said yes and the projects began. The installation of the window went very smoothly and was coordinated around our operations so as not to be disruptive of my staff while they were working. The cabinet doors we fabricated offsite and installed during our regular business hours. Ron's crew was very accommodating in getting out of the way as my staff needed to wait on and ring out customers. They came back after hours to finish the doors.
Description of Work: Ron and is crew completed three projects for us; 1) the replacement of a window in our cat room, 2) adjustment of three doors that were not closing properly, and 3) the fabrication and installation of three cabinet doors on our retail counter.
Ron and his wonderful crew were excellent throughout all phases of our siding and windows project. They did not cut corners, taking care to put high quality craftsmanship into every detail. The crew was excellent; they arrived early and often worked late, and they showed their professionalism at every turn. If the crew spotted something unexpected, Ron would let us know what was happening and consult with us immediately. The fit and finish of our completed project is outstanding! We had a great construction experience with Ron and his crew and believe that they are one of the best home improvement teams here in our part of Maine. We highly recommend Ron Bragg Carpentry and will call Ron again for future projects.
Description of Work: Removed and completely replaced old wood siding with maintenance-free Hardi Plank and trim, installed and wrapped ten new windows, modified some existing window openings to give us the view we wanted, and framed these with red oak, installed replacement door and frame, put down new tile threshold for replacement door, flashed and fortified two decks, replaced rotting wood covering on house frame, replaced some insulation on house, screened house soffit area to keep pests out of attic, wrapped our exterior entryway with matching metal, and hauled off all materials at the end of the job.
