For the designer and the construction it all added up to $22,000. It was just small things. They took and made choices on certain things that they should have asked me first before they purchased the item. As far as their workmanship, it was excellent. The price was very reasonable. We had 3 or 4 people come in depending on what their experience was. They were in the middle so I can't complain on the price. I like their price compared to their work. They did an excellent job as far as the quality. The cabinetry guy was very precise and right on. There were 2 guys working, one was a gopher and the other was the cabinetry guy. The one thing that I appreciated about this company is that they consolidated their plumbing, electrical. I didn't have to search elsewhere to get that done. They had it within their team, licensed to get it done. Other than picking out a few things that I didn't approve of and I had to reorder, I was pleased with it. Their boss responded every time the boys left. He wanted to know if we approved of the work or if there was anything we needed added or subtracted. The boss was right on, the owner I should say. The contractor himself kept close tabs on his men. When they said they were going to be here, they were here.

Our initial experiences with this company were A+ all the way and so it was with this job ... it was professional from the beginning estimate to the final payment. We have had extremely bad experiences with other residential service companies in the past so we find Maine Construction Group (MCG) to be a continuing breath of fresh air. There are two divisions to this company; however, they both operate under the same management and ethical standards. We have been lucky to have had experience with both. Their Handyman division is simply an extension of their service tailored to the homeowners needs. We have had a couple of jobs that did not require major construction and this is where the Handyman division was so beneficial. We will be looking to have additional work performed this coming spring and will be calling MCG's Handyman Division with the hope that they can fit us into their schedule. Their rates are reasonable for the service they provide and they perform the best work possible in order to meet their standards and to satisfy their customer's expectations. In summary, this company is professional, ethical, and reasonable. They work very hard at satisfying their customers at a fair price, they do what they say they will do in the time-frame stated and at the agreed on price. Great old-fashioned workmanship with friendly and timely service. A good value.

Ron was on site quickly for an estimate. He was very willing to listen my my ideas and he had some great ideas of his own. I was provided a detailed quote which showed me exactly where my money was going. When the crew arrived they were very friendly and professional. The work site was always kept clean which was a must as you must walk all the way through my house to get to this space. I'm very happy with the end result and finished product. This company is very professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a simple project, renovation or newly constructed home.

Ron and Ryan Francis are true professionals in every way. They maintain contact with their workers throughout the project and communicate well with the homeowners and they do not sign off on a job unless it is done to what was agreed upon. Their sub-contractors reflected Maine Construction Groups values and work ethic which we can say because we hired one of their sub-contractors after the job was completed and although he was as nice as could be he did not possess the same values as reflected by Maine Construction Group. That was very disappointing but certainly no reflection on The Maine Construction Group. We not only highly recommend this group but we would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Maine Construction Group is a Bangor, Maine locally owned family operated business founded by Ryan Francis. Ron Francis, COO of Maine Construction Group and proud father of Ryan, came and gave us an estimate for the work needing to be performed. His response to our initial call was extremely prompt, the estimate reasonable and at all times Ron was a total professional. He answered all of our questions, of which there were many, without hesitation. Every promise made was fulfilled and their work was above reproach. We had a very tight time-line which we made known to Ron. He checked his schedule, gave us an estimate of the time required and when he could fit the job into the schedule. He gave us an estimated completion date along with his cost estimate. We accepted his proposal and work began as scheduled. The crew put in charge of the project were also highly professional and conscientious. They did the extensive remodel without disrupting the surroundings more than necessary and every evening they cleaned up the area before leaving. They worked long days and partial weekends to complete the job as promised. We were very pleased with the results and felt that the price was reasonable. Our greatest satisfaction was in having the job done well and on time. We are pleased to recommend Maine Construction Group for any work within their capabilities. We are planning to have them replace our roof this spring! Contractor Virtues : Honest, prompt, reliable, reasonable and personable. The entire crew was a pleasure to have in our home. Ron was always just a text or phone call away and he came to the site every day to check on the progress and Ryan also visited to make sure all was well. Any problems were always resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. We would not hesitate using this company for any additional work.
