Contacted the family owned company on a Sunday. The friendly woman who answered the phone was professional and courteous. She took all my information and explained a basic overview of the septic pumping service, what to have prepared and what to expect. The team of 2 arrived promptly the next day. Despite being young servicemen, they were completely professional! Not only did they execute the job proficiently and professionally, they went above and beyond to explain to me how my septic actually works! I've lived in my house since 2011 and didn't know until they came that I had a filter (among other great new information). The owners son (as I understood it) was extremely professional and willing to take the time to really show me the ins and outs of my tank. They also had to shovel snow and dirt to get to the covers I didn't know about and only charged me $25.00 for this. Which I felt was more than reasonable. Overall this was a wonderful company to do business with from the time I called through the end of their service at my residence. I will certainly be using them in the future and will encourage my home owner friends to do the same. Keep up the great work!

Description of Work: I used Dyer septic this past fall when my septic system failed. They got it up & running in cold weather which I appreciated. I had plans for an addition this spring & it was obvious the septic tank was too close to the house to met code for the new addition. I asked them to replace it while the yard was all dug up. I told them EXACTLY how far out the addition was coming & they installed the tank too close to where the addition was coming, too close for even obtaining a variance from the building inspector. I was angry & disappointed when Dyer refused to move the tank when their error was discovered. Before I was aware of this issue I asked them to bid on the excavation for my frost wall. Their bid was $4700. The 2nd bid was 2700. I gave Dyer the opportunity to rebid, since they were going to finish the leach field, & they declined. End result they did no more work for me, refused to move the septic tank and I am out several thousand dollars to have my septic tank moved. I am very disappointed that they did not stand behind their work. They were pleasant to deal with in person & over the phone but I would not recommend contracting with them in the future.

I am very sorry for your negative experience. I spoke with the owner about this and he stated there was a change in your general contractor and miscommunication due to this, that resulted in the wrong placement of your tank. He claims, he was given the approval to put the tank in that location and therefore not the one responsible. He claimed it wasn't a simply fix to move because of existing ground conditions on the property. He would have been willing to move it again at an additional cost. He also stated that the bid was on the high end because he was aware of the property containing ledge as he had already come across this in the tank install. Again, we apologize for your negative experience.

These folks made this experience very easy for a first time home owner with a full septic tank when we purchased the property. They called me back promptly set up an appointment and were prompt about getting to the house for the appointment time. The cost of easily $50 less than anyone else (in some cases$100 less) and we were very satisfied with the service. We did dig out the septic cover prior to their arrival. Overall, no complaints and a seamless transaction. Thank you!

Description of Work: Gentleman was on time and found I had dug up the wrong cover. He proceeded to dig up other end of the tank and then pumped the tank. He was friendly and professional and provided insight into neighborhood functions and some tips on things to prolong the system. Will definitely hire again.
