He's prompt, he's diligent, and he did a decent job. I think he's reliable and he's competent.

Ian is an experienced and honest handyman. Recently he powerwashed and restained our huge deck (over 1000 square feet) with two coats after replacing a few rotten boards. In addition, he power washed the exterior of our house and re-stained the tool shed as well. He did a fantastic job, which we are very satisfied with. Both the job quality and cost were much better than those larger painting companies in the Brunswick area that I had dealt with before. Ian is very professional. He responded to my phone call quickly even when he was on vacation. I recommend Ian without hesitation.

I sent an inquiry to Ian Marshall, the Scottish Handyman, via email from Angie's website. I received a prompt response by phone and arranged to meet him to review what was required. He provided good advice as to how best to proceed with refinishing the deck which was not in good condition. As soon as the weather permitted he was on the scene working. He is very efficient and the job was done well. I will certainly keep him in mind for any future work I might require. The cost was reasonable.

I called him to see if he could do the small repairs I needed done, because the plumbers weren't interested in small jobs. He came the next day, purchased a part he needed from the hardware store, did the work I asked, and tried to fix an electrical problem, too. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

I contacted Ian via e-mail after reading his reviews on Angie's List, and looking through his business website. Ian responded right away, and came out to my house to take a look at the project. When I was ready for him to come back out and do the the work, I e-mailed him and again, he was very prompt and professional in his response. He came out and did a great job. My husband and I are not handy whatsoever, so it is a big relief to have found such a trustworthy, and skilled professional. I will definitely use his services again in the future.

He did outstanding work. Very trustworthy and very honest. If he can't do it himself, he will get someone out that will do a great job for you. I can rely on him to do anything I ask, and he will do it right. I would nominate him for awards.

Mr. Marshall has always been prompt and professional. His repair work exceeds expectations.

Ian came to evaluate all the tasks I had on my list and gave us an estmate prior to us approving. He is always prompt with our requests (Ian has done handyman work for us for 4 or 5 years on our cottage as well as our year-round home right next door to our summer cottage). Ian is incredibly tidy with painting and does not drip paint anywhere and cleans up all old paint chips----even from the grass areas surrounding the deck and porch. While this was a large job with multiple tasks he completed, Ian will respond promptly to even one small need such as fixing the hydraulic return on a storm door damaged by wind. He has done interior painting in our home several times and we plan to hire him in the spring 2012 to paint inside our cottage. I cannot say enough positive things about the quality and carefulness of the work Ian Marshall does!

Ian Marshall is just a very pleasant person. He is Scottish. He is straightforward. He did an assortment of jobs and he did a nice job. I liked him and we have had him again since then. His price is good and the quality of work is also good. We will use him again. I have asked him in fact to do some shoveling for us this winter and he is happy about it.

He did a phenomenal job and his timing was extraordinary. He has done minor carpentry for me before. I spent about $3,000, including the price of the tile. I have used him a lot and I have always been impressed with his abilities, work and everything. He is really quite good and his responsiveness was perfect.

He is honest and reliable. He's there when you need him. If he says he's coming, he comes.

Ian is accessible, reliable, hard working, trustworthy, efficient, fast, fair and honest. He considers options on the best way to approach a project. When a bad batch of caulking around our kitchen sink didn't gel, he was back in a flash to re-do it. Recently he painted our bedroom. When the number of hours it took him was lower than he had expected (because we had prepared the room for him ahead of time) he charged us less than the estimate to which we had agreed. We look forward to Ian taking care of our projects for years to come.
