It was a disaster! If you use this business, you will need to get it inspected by another professional because their work is below acceptable levels which is very dangerous in their line of work. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Terry Smith called ahead to see if I was ready to have them come to work on my furnace, I confirmed as such.Terry Smith arrived with his son and got right to work. Mr. Smith went out to the oil tank and checked the filter while his son readied the furnace for cleaning. The process was very efficient and relieving since I had concerns that my furnace had other mechanical issues. Mr. Smiths son relieved me of my fears and said that it wouldn't cost me any more labor for them to determine what was wrong beyond the need of cleaning the furnace. After the cleaning was finished Mr. Smith explained to me that it was a nozzle that needed replacing and that was covered in the normal cleaning fee. He also explained that my filter that was outside looked to be in good condition and that all I needed to do to keep the furnace running properly was yearly service. I appreciated the education of my furnace and its needs, I am new to oil furnace heating and felt he helped relieve any stresses I might've had without his educating me. I will use Mr. Smith and his sons for my future furnace needs.

I like to call a local service whenever possible but there are few in this rural area. T.Smith and Sons have been servicing my oil burning heater each year since I purchased the house in May2003. They perform the annual maintenance(cleaning), tune up and inspection. They always answer my questions about the system clearly. Whenever calling them; Just leave a name and number on their answering machine - they always call back within 5 minutes. They are always very professional and friendly which is a plus for me.

Initially I called Harley Plumbing, after repeated attempts dealing with a rude answering service and no action or ciommitment, I called T SMITH after they were recommend by our fuel oil dealer. By far, the most professional HVAC team in the business in Bangor, ME. They came when they said they would, and they worked until the problem was corrected to my satisfaction. Even though the two plumbers were up for over 24 hrs working other burst pipes, they were cordial and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and checked their work. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. It should also be noted that the owner of Harley Plumbing (who we have used in the past) did call us back the next day and apologize for the rudeness of his answering service. However, I will continue to use T SMITH as they are more professional and offer better service and a terrific price.
