Greg performed the exact service we needed at a very reasonable price. He was quick, efficient, and clean. He taped all the cracks and wore boots, and there wasn’t a speck of ash when he left. (I wouldn’t have been mad if there was- it’s a chimney). He was nice but not chatty, which is a quality I like in someone coming into my home to do work. I highly recommend this company.

The owner is very professional and punctual. He showed up and examined my roof and told me that the flashing needed replacement. He stated that February is not the best time of the year to do this as shingles would need to be removed to replace the flashing. He offered to fix the area that was leaking with a patch and stated he would return in the Spring to do the actual repair. I appreciated his knowledge and honesty. It was a win win because when the chimney leaked it ran down my ceiling. Now the chimney is patched and no more ceiling leak. I look forward to having Lake Region Chimney back in the Spring. If your looking for honest and reliable I would hire this company.

We waited two months for Lake Region to come and clean our chimney, and when he arrived this morning, he declined to do the job. Surprising, because we have used this company three times before without complaint. At first he said he would not be going on the roof, that he would clean from the bottom, which seemed like an incomplete job. As he looked in the firebox, he reprimanded us for burning wet wood, which we do not . He proceeded to tell us how badly the chimney needed cleaning and we should not be using it due to the high danger of a chimney fire. He said he hadn't budgeted enough time and couldn't reschedule until he returned to the office, but it would be sometime in January before he might come back. I strongly suspected he had no interest in rescheduling at all. We burn fires every day, so it was extremely disappointing to have him not proceed with the cleaning, at least as much as he could do in the two hours he said he'd allotted for the job, and particularly in view of the danger he outlined, and the reality that it takes several weeks to get a chimney cleaner scheduled. He's left us with an unusable fireplace for the holiday season. Hire him if you want, but you may want to schedule a backup, because if he views your chimney as too much work once he arrives, you'll be left in the cold, quite literally.

.I have had Greg come to the house for about 3 or 4 years, he is always grumpy. He is angry when I call in the fall for an appointment and also when I call too soon (mid summer) He doesn't like my wood shake roof or the pitch of it. He doesn't like where the flower beds are. He is often behind and reschedules. The job seems to be good. I have it done every year and he always tells me how filthy the chimney is (maybe it is the wood stove?) as the wood is dry and I do not leave it smoldering at a low temp all day. He always makes me feel like a negligent homeowner

Greg was prompt and professional. I have lived in this house for 3 years without having the chimney cleaned or inspected. It was way overdue and I learned how lucky I was to have had it cleaned when I did. I was operating in unsafe conditions and very likely would have had a chimney fire in the near future. I was lucky I had not had one yet. The chimney was cleaned and I am now confident in my ability to maintain it. Greg also took the time to review smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, fire extinguishers and options for the safety of my family, me and the house. Great job. I will schedule a yearly cleaning with Greg from here on out.

Great. Greg came out the first time to do a cleaning and we discovered the pipe was not installed all the way through the chimney and he could not do the job. He explained what was needed and why and quoted the job. He did not charge us when he came that first time which I appreciated. He came back and was prompt, cleaned up and did a good job. He also went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and checked into a few other things for us as well.

It was the busiest time of the year for lake lake region chimney and yet he found time to squeeze us in very promptly. He fixed the problem in under an hour.

My wife and I are new home owners. About three weeks ago, our furnace started to malfunction and caused the smoke alarm to sound anytime we turned the thermostat above 50 degrees. The house would fill with a horrible burning smell. Our furnace technician was unable to diagnose the problem. For almost over two weeks, we endured a freezing cold home. We had to run space heaters around the clock to keep the pipes from freezing. We felt on the verge of a major disaster, whether a fire, burst pipes or needing to replace the furnace. We planned to purchase a pellet stove next winter, after our finances had a chance to recover. We decided we couldn't wait that long. So we found a great deal on a pellet stove. What we didn't anticipate, was how hard it would be to find someone to install it. No one was available for weeks. I tried everywhere. I left a million messages. For almost 10 days, I barely found anyone who would even call me back. By this point, we had little hope remaining. Then I found Lake Region Chimney on Angie's List. Greg answered the phone immediately. He was on another job and like everyone else, he was fully booked. I barely told him our situation and stopped me and said he would be happy to help us out. He said he would rearrange his schedule to fit us in the following morning. He even arrived early and did a quick site inspection to determine what parts were needed. Greg was very friendly and reassuring. He is also very skilled and efficient. He took some quick measurements and zipped off to get us the parts. He was back in less than an hr and then 45 minutes later, our pellet stove was installed. He even had to make a few custom pieces. He charged us a couple hrs for labor and we had around $100 in parts. It looks great and the stove runs like a dream. He left no mess and even stayed around for 20 mins, while it first fired up. Just a few hours later, the room was already 70 degrees! We can't thank Greg enough for coming to our rescue. Since then, we even figured out our furnace issue- a crack on a glass plate that was supposed to be air tight was sucking air in. It still needs to be repaired, but now we can keep our furnace basically off. There is a reason that Lake Region Chimney has such great reviews. I cannot recommend them strongly enough.
