VILLAGE BUILDERS

Description of Work: Contracted Dan Grant of Village Builders to renovate our kitchen which included removing a chimney. His whole team are super professional and very talented craftsmen. The project took about 10 weeks, and stayed mostly on budget (some last minute add ons increased the cost).

Description of Work: Build a 10x24 three season room on existing deck

Description of Work: Complete renovation of upstairs, removal of roof, addition of 1 dormer, upgrade of second dormer, addition of bathroom, raised windows upstairs, updated header beemer first floor and basement, new windows, roof and cement board siding.

Description of Work: I engaged Village Builders to help me design and build a major addition on my home. We collaborated on the design, which went through several permutations. Once that was complete, Dan Grant (owner of Village Builders) took care of everything: working with the town to obtain building permits (required a slight zoning variance, which he obtained), engaging subcontractors, managing the work schedule, etc. It was a big project that involved demolishing an old barn-like garage, removing an old, smaller addition to the house, removing the old septic system and linking to town sewer, excavating for the new addition, doing everything from the foundation up for the new addition. It also involved moving the bulkhead entrance to the basement under the original structure. Dan's own employees did all of the framing, roofing, carpentry, and painting, subcontractors he engaged did the demolition, excavating, plumbing, electrical, etc.
