We had many issues with our boiler for a long time that had become extremely serious. We had our regular maintenance company come out several times to fix the issues but with no luck. They still charged us though! Everyone we asked for quotes to fix the issues said we had a leak in our boiler and needed to replace it. Mainely Plumbing were the only ones who figured out what was really going on and saved us a great deal of money. Without using them we would have replaced the boiler and then had to do all the work they did anyway. We have also used them for regular maintenance since with good results.

This was an emergency call made by my wife on a Saturday morning and they were the only people who would respond but at a steep price. Emergency callout fee and very expensive parts.

Shortly after purchasing new house in Gorham, I came home after being away for a few days to find no heat. After fumbiling around for a little while I realized that there appeared to be a problem with the natural gas service into the house. The gas company wasn't initially all that helpful, though they did end up sending a technician eventually. I called Mainely after looking them up in A/L. They were super nice and provided some "over the phone diagnostics" They provided a price quote over the phone and they sent a technician over almost immediately. Chris (the technician) was very nice and professional. He helped me meet with the tech from the gas company (who also showed up around the same time) and helped me understand what was going on. The gas company guy ended up recognizing the problem and fixing it for free. Chris took a look at the heating system I have and provided some advise on service internals and other stuff. Overall good experience, and I'm happy that I now have a relationship with Mainely in case I have problems in the future!

We have rental property and we have used them for boiler work and plumbing and we've been satisfied with them. We haven't decided. We're just putting off the decision. We're still deciding what kind of system we want. I would say that they were competent. They were able to fix our problems. They were not the cheapest but since they did good work, they were good value. They've been responsive to our requests. There was one problem we had that we had to go with somebody else because they weren't available.

All work was done quickly and professionally in one visit.

We broke an old pipe while installing a dishwasher. We called for an emergency plumber who came to replace the fitting at around 12:00AM He also set us up right to install the dishwasher successfully, and he was cheerful while he did it (despite the fact that we were less than cheerful ourselves!).

Wrote down details of what I wanted done and said they would provide an estimate. Never heard from them again.

They are excellent, professional, knowledgeable, prompt and I have had no problems since.

It went extremely well. Jim was very responsive and came up with alternatives to assist us in keeping the price reasonable. He and his crew arrived on the first day on time. His crew introduced themselves. Jim then described to them what needed to be done and outlined for me the time required to complete the work. His team covered floor and items as they worked and were careful to keep the areas clean through out. They cleaned every thing at the end of each day and confirmed their next appointment and time frame. The job was done in a timely manner and when we required additional assistance in understanding how the monitors worked and the remote control they came back immediately and explained it in more detail.

I've saved over 50% on my heating bill. They were in and out as promised. It was a good experience. The owner came out and seemed knowledgeable. The pricing was comparable. I trusted the guy and he kept to the timeframe. There were a few changes we ran into but he didn't charge me any extra. He kept to the price.

I wanted to install a heat pump hot water system to reduce heating oil consumption from using oil furnace to heat water. Mainely Plumbing was suggested by another plumbing concern as a company that had experience in heat pumps. I contacted Mainely Plumbing and they were very helpful in planning the new system. Their estimated price was reasonable so I engaged them. They were prompt and efficient in the installation, and the work was criditable. However, I was disappointed because their bill contained several items that I didn't expect, including one item I had been led to believe was included in the original estimate, Since installation the system has workeed well to provide hot water, but my original expectations for reducesd oil consumption have not been met.

Not much to say. It was a very good experience from start to finish. A personable, competent plumber arrived quickly. The pricing policy was explained. I showed him the work that needed to be done. He gave me an estimate that I thought was fair. He proceeded to do the work and at one point needed to call in another person to help him. When he was done everything looked good and worked well.

I have about a 5000 square ft house with more than half of the house using radiant heat. There are 3 manifolds just for the radiant and 7 thermostats for it. The two largest areas have never seemed to work correctly and the installer and another master plumber traded out some parts, but the system never seemed very responsive in a definitive way to the repairs (still noisy - you could hear the water coming on in the middle of the night and never good temperature regulation). These two areas were part of our walkout basement and so are not in constant use. This lower level was completed with the radiant system installed maybe six years ago. It only became a real problem the past couple months where it became really hot in what is normally a cool basement. The thermostat read almost 90 degrees day after day and thereby heating my upstairs in the month of August! Thank goodness I found a radiant expert that diagnosed the problem as a bad thermostat. Too bad the system doesn't just shut the heat off as a default when there's a problem instead of wasting money on heat!

We are new to the area and very pleased to find a plumbing company we can work with in the future. .

They did do a fine job. But, I do think there price is too high.

Initially well, but with a month both problems recurred. Their price was pretty high for a problem that was fairly simple and ended up recurring anyway.

They told me 85.00 with out even knowing what was wrong. For an evaluation fee. This is ridiculous.

The company had a bit of a service backlog, but worked hard to swap things around and get a technician to the house as soon as they could. He was able to diagnose and repair the mixing valve by removing the escutcheon plate in the shower and did not have to cut into the bedroom wall to get access to the rear of the valve (of course there is no access door!). He did cut a hole in the dining room ceiling to verify that there were no other leaks and to let things dry out. I concurred with this. Good service. I'd use them again even though I felt them to be a little pricey.

They provide excellent service. They are responsive. They follow through. Their pricing is reasonable.

They're excellent. They were on time and had competitive pricing. They did excellent work. They were courteous.

They were prompt and courteous. They were professional. We're not sure whether we'll use them or not. They aren't the least expensive of the quotes we got, but they seem like a reputable company to work with.

He came out and gave an estimate and didn't show up after that at all. He never even called me back and he used to always tell a girl to tell me that he would call back or do the work in November. I had called him three times after that and he didn't return a call after that so I just left that. I agreed with the estimate that he gave me also. He used to never come over the phone whenever I called. He was punctual because he came the next day that I called him. I would never call him again in the future.

Took a week each time to hear back from them, citing different excuses each time. Never sent estimates for our review. Why not ask a co-worker to contact us or at least have better time management skills? Our business went elsewhere.
