We had used Maide for You quite successfully for a couple of years. I had met it's owner at a local networking group, and she had always been pleasant and responsive. This spring, we found that several pieces of original artwork had been damaged with streak marks from cleaning solution and/or wiping from a cleaning cloth. I immediately called the owner, Donna Foster, and aksed her to come by to take a look. When she saw the pieces, she was horrified and took responsibility for the damage. She said that she had a couple of "new girls" who must not have known to never touch artwork. She took photos of the damage and left, humbly apologizing. The damage was nearly $6000. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from her insurance company stating that Ms. Foster denied that they had any responsibility for the damage, and they would not be paying the claim. That was subsequently confirmed in writing. Fortunately, we have insurance on our artwork and most of the damage will be covered. I would recommend that others stay far away from this company.

Response from Maide for You
It's unfortunate that this client felt the need to bring this complaint to this forum. Maide for You is quick to respond when any damage may occur, which was the case in this instance. I immediately went to look at the damaged item, saw damage and called my insurance agent. Since other art work in her home was damaged in a similar way (and she made comment to her artist that she may have caused the damage herself, via email), it was not paid by my insurance but by her home owners insurance.
