Description of Work: Maine Solar Solutions installed 13 solar panels and a heat pump in my home. Sam Zuckerman responded immediately to my call for information, met with me twice to do a preliminary info gathering session as well as a follow-up meeting. At the second meeting, Sam provided me with a detailed list and description of what would be done, how the equipment would be installed and how much it would cost. He answered all my questions thoroughly and went above and beyond the usual business as usual price quotes. He was there every step of the way. The installers did the work when they were scheduled to do it, were neat and courteous, and finished the job in a timely manner. The cost was a couple thousand less the other company I contacted. I would highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreI selected Maine Solar Solutions after researching all the providers in the area and getting quotes from three. The MSS system was very similar to one proposed by Revision Energy but at a lower cost for comparable or better components. Sam is easy to work with. He put up with all my questions and concerns. Placing the components on my roof was a challenge. They had to work around skylights since we wanted to maximize the size of the array. I had proposed placing the hot water collector on a different roof with some shading. They found an alternate location that minimized solar exposure but was still visually acceptable. The enphase system allows you to monitor the system via a web site. You can review historical performance as well as current power from each individual panel.
Description of Work: Installation of solar hot water and 4KW photo voltaic array. Solar hot water included Thermomax evacuated tube collector and 80 gallon storage tank with electric backup. PV array uses Enphase micro inverters.
