Had this company install an Energy Kinetics System 2000 Furnace and service/maintain it for several years. Now after missing a few years of service they refuse to clean and tune it up unless I subscribe to an automatic oil delivery service. Very unprofessional to refuse to service a unit that you installed.

They fix the problem after the second attempt. Great response back. A little pricey. But the services was good and friendly.

Installation was completed, as proposed, in a neat professional layout. Electrical penetrations through external wall are neatly done. Generator location looks good.

Removal of heating oil storage tank, tankless oil furnace, and piping worked out well. Heating oil fill line and vent line penetrations in the exterior wall were patched and a new section of vinyl siding was installed. Chimney liner was installed, New Energy Kinetics Accel CS boiler, (50) gallon hot water storage tank, headers, (5) zone valves, were installed, and (5) thermostats were calibrated. A propane gas leak detector and fire protection sprinkler was installed. (3) 120 gallon propane tanks installed and hooked up to the boiler. Heating system is working and I'm am very satisfied with equipment and labor. Installers were very polite, highly skilled, and focused on their responsibilities. All existing equipment replace was hauled away and site was clean and neat when job was finished.

The technician arrived on time and did a thorough cleaning. A leaking air vent valve in the circulating hot water line was replaced. He found that an old filter at the oil tank had never been removed when a new oil filter at the burner had been installed with a new boiler system a few years ago. The previous company that was used to install the new system and had done cleanings since then had never bothered to remove or replace the old filter, which was now almost completely plugged and beginning to hamper the flow of oil. The techniician removed the old filter and reconnected the oil line directly to the tank, resolving the problem.

Our 23 year old boiler/furnace began to leak. I called Charlie Burnham Heating Service, who had been providing burner service to us for the last two years. Within an hour the owner, George, was in my house assessing the situation. The old burner was not repairable. George took his time walking through the house evaluating our heating needs. He suggested the Energy Kinetics System 2000. I had been considering switching from oil to propane and George provided an objective and balanced perspective. I decided to switch. Within an hour he had provided an estimate for the cost of replacing our old burner. This all happened just prior to the Memorial Day weekend (Murphy's Law), which meant we had a leaky unreliable burner trying to provide our domestic hot water needs. The following week Charlie Burnham Heating Service showed up with 5 trucks and six men. They began at 8:00am. In a single day they removed the old burner, removed the oil tank (which was buried behind a wall that needed to be dismantled), installed propane tanks and ran the line into the basement, installed the new burner, refitted and relocated the hot water storage tank, dismantled and re-attached new plumbing, cleaned up after themselves, and got the new burner running to supply domestic hot water. They even filled and seeded the trench they had to dig in the lawn to run the underground propane lines. They worked a very long day just to make sure we had hot water. They came back the next day to hook up the heating zones (which we weren't using because it was May and the weather was warm). And all at a very fair price. Charlie Burnham Heating Service is responsive, reliable, fairly priced, and dedicated to customer service. Other companies would do well to take a page from their play book. I have recommended them to friends, neighbors, and acquaintances and will continue to do so.

Arrived on schedule. Work professionally done .Crew courteous and left basement spotless. Came back next day for tweaking and scheduled a 30 day follow up to make sure everything operating satisfacorally.

I've used him for 25 years! They have serviced my furnace, installed propane for my gas stove, radiators and he rewards loyalty! Their prices are really competitive! I would continue to use him and recommend him. I will not use anyone else!

Was thorough, professional, explained options, immediately sent quote for replacement if decision to take that route with no pressure.

That was all good. He was professional, knew immediately what the problem was, and made a temporary fix so it didn't leak. He told us that we needed a new humidifier unit, and gave us an estimate that seemed fair. At the end of the visit, we were told that they would not be able to come to replace the unit for 3 weeks. Seemed a little long, but not that big a deal; the furnace works and other customers may not have heat... But we were then told that this company had it's own propane delivery service, and generally didn't do service calls unless we changed to their service. He told us that their rates were comparable to other companies, but that they put their propane customers first and looked to establish a fee service to yearly inspect the furnace and gas lines. All this didn't seem unreasonable to me, in fact it was probably a good idea for safety, but it did leave me feeling like I just wasted a lot of time, to find out that unless I signed up for service, I couldn't get the real problem solved in a timely manner. I asked the technician if they would fix our problem, even if we decided not to switch propane providers, he said they would when they could, but that they would not be able to do any more work for us in the future unless we became a propane customer. I like to develop a relationship with companies who will, over the years, get to know us and our home as we need things taken care of. I would have liked to be told of their policies when I made the appointment, and I probably would have chosen a different heating repair company. I checked out their website briefly, and didn't see any mention of this policy they have. They do way on the Angie's site description : 24 HOUR EMERGENCY SERVICE TO ESTABLISHED CUSTOMERS, but now I assume that this refers to propane delivery customers, not just service customers. I don't complain at all about the service, I just don't really care for the policies they have.

I've used Charlie Burnham Heating Service several times and have been please with the service. He is efficient and fair.

For two years, my regular furnace maintainance person has been telling me I need a new furnace. He performed what he called temporary fixes and since then the furnce has been running fine. Before spending a huge amount of money, I decided to have Burnham Heating review the furnace functions. Charlie knew everything about the furnace and stocks whatever necessary parts for repairs. Needless to say, I'm not buying a new furnace.

I rate him very highly and I would recommend him to anybody. I would use him again in the future.

I spent around $10000 on that. The service was great. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I felt like he helped me heat my house in the most efficient way.

Charlie Burnham have been servicing my boiler for a few years. Recently after a cleaning I noticed a very slow oil leak from the burner. They came back and fixed it but the sealant they used had not set properly so they promptly came back and gave it another coat of sealant. After the service I wasn't charged for either of these return visits, and both service professionals were helpful and knowledgable. Fred usually does my furnace. A terrific guy from England! I would recommend these guys every time.

They were very good. They were early and called ahead to let us know that they would be. I thought the price was reasonable and cheaper than who I had been using previously.

It took a couple of days to arrange a time for someone to come out but they did make an extra effort to come out before I went on vacation. First technician diagnosed and fixed my problems quickly. Later in the day I noticed that the house was cold. Called the company at 5:15 pm and Charlie, the owner, came out straight away and diagnosed and fixed the problem. He determined that after the first guy had finished work he hadn't opened the downstairs zone valve correctly. Although the valve handle had turned, the valve hadn't opened. Charlie opened the valve with a wrench. Charlie also took some time to review my heating system and give me his professional opinion on its installation and condition. He gave me a little sales pitch on a replacement boiler which I didn't mind. Charlie went out of his way to fix the problem make sure I was a happy customer.

Charlie did not install the original boiler but came out quickly and replaced the boiler with a new Weil Mclain Boiler. Charlie and his men were very prompt, through, very clean, and polite. I would recommend them to anyone looking for fair prices and professional work.
