Glenn and his team we incredible! We were a new build and a big undertaking with 3 stories and a large deck on the third floor. They completed all of our framing and making the project fully weather tight. We appreciated Glenn and his teams advice along the way, this project would not have been a success without their recommendations. Following the completion of their work Glenn has remained in touch to provide additional guidance and support, and offered to help us with any obstacles we may face as we work to finish this project. Great experience and highly recommended!

Halldale Builders performed work to add an in--law apartment onto our existing home, consisting of one bedroom, great room, kitchen area, bath. They joined the buildings with a mud room on the inside and a farmer's porch stretching the length of both buildings on the exterior. They do impeccable wood work. My closets, window and door trim, floor boards are all beautiful. They built cathedral ceilings in tongue and groove pine which are gorgeous. They installed a LifeProof floor which I am very pleased with. After the initial experience, we increased our budget and plans extensively to include more features. The construction included a complex roof which they managed without issue. They always had good suggestions and made the whole process worry-free. Any problems were quickly met with solutions. The owner, Glenn, helped me manage work being done through other companies, for example, we swapped out our heating system for an entirely new system to span both buildings. These builders have all the right contacts for cement work, electrical, plumbing, etc. I would wholeheartedly recommend Halldale Builders for any home construction project. These guys are perfectionists and truly care about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. Perhaps the best testament of their work....We are in their queue waiting to get work done on the original house when they can fit us in.

Halldale Builders was completely professional and my son is now the proud owner of an energy efficient, very well-built, and very beautiful new home. The construction is outstanding, and every detail is well-thought out and completed. We highly recommend this company if you would like to have the complete package of finding the best materials at the best price. The owner does happen to be my 2nd cousin, but we were treated the same way I have no doubt he treats all of his customers; with integrity, thoughtfulness, and pride in his company's workmanship. *Now that I have made these comments, I see at the end a box to verify I am not related to the owner in any way, as said before I am related, so that would make him, technically a 2nd cousin once removed from my son, but I don't think for a moment that that should matter. I know he is completely satisfied with the work and am posting this for him as he doesn't have internet access at home as yet.*

Amazingly well. The work took 5 months but it is like having a brand new home. Glenn consulted with us every step of the way to be sure we were getting all that we wanted. Where we didn't have the knowledge to make the best decision he gave us guidance and helped us understand the rationale. We kept adding to the job and he never refused us. We've gone from having a dark, densely packed home to an open, bright, well insulated beautiful interior, as well as a newly cedar shingled exterior. The crew showed up to work every day. The employees were all delightful to have around, respectful, helpful, extremely courteous. Glenn was always available. Financial accountability was top notch. We have receipts for every dollar spent.

Considering the amount of work involved (labor costs) we made the decision to demolish the existing structure. The house was not sound nor was it secured to the foundation. The foundation itself was in good shape. Glenn and his crew were amazing to work with. Glenn kept us appraised of the building progress for each step as well as costs involved. The Halldale crew, plumber and electrician were expert in their work as well as reasonable with cost. Keniston's Tile from Bangor did a truly beautiful job on the bathroom! We are now the excited proud owners of a beautiful home in Lincolnville. We are truly impressed with Glenn,s work ethic, job knowledge and expertise! Thank you Glenn!

Glenn and his crew were always pleasant and very professional. The quality of work was exceptional. They installed new windows, new siding, insulation, drywall, flooring, remodeled 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, my kitchen, and 2 living spaces. Outside, they built a deck with built in seating, laid stone for a walkway, and reshingled the exterior of the house. Glenn laid beautiful wide plank pine floors, installed large picture windows, and worked with the local Amish community who custom designed and hand made the cabinets for my kitchen. The work was completed last year, but recently I had an issue with a leak in ceiling around my chimney. The leak was caused by an issue from before Halldale builders started the renovation, but Glenn was still able to come right out and fix the roof as well as the drywall in the ceiling. Great work and great customer service.

Halldale Builders did an amazing job on our addition - five star rating. Glenn took the time to explain the different phases of construction and provided options for different grades of material throughout the process. Glenn's approach made the construction of the addition easy and stress free for us by checking in daily to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I cannot say enough about Glenn and his talented team, they are professional carpenters that take pride in their work. My wife and I truly enjoyed working with this team and I would not hesitate to recommend HallDale Builders in the future.

Working with the owner Glenn Couturier of Halldale Builders and his crew was a joy .. The were methodical in their approach to blending the new addition with the existing home. Reliable and ethical !! They were here every day.! Which to me says volumes. Started June 2014 ending Oct 2014. Glenn explained everything as the construction was in progress. From my vision and wish list to choosing building materials, ie new windows, doors, tile for the new bath room. He would share with us the work for the week .. keeping us informed every step of the way. If there was any issue he would let us know and we would talk it over. Another example of how very ethical he was .. He would always give us alternatives / options to make informed decisions. Glenn is a man of his word, his craftsmanship and attention to detail, all these qualities are what sets him apart from other contractors, in my humble opinion. Our forever home, our vision and dream is now a reality .. every detail, all the finishing touches from outside to inside .. is our dream come true. He is like family to us .. and his crew !! Workmanship was excellent and they maintained a neat job site.... even to the point of picking up roofing nails from the stripped roof with magnet sweeps. A job well done....would re-hire without hesitation

It went superbly. We had a lot of ideas, many of which were a little different, but Glenn, Matt and crew were very accommodating and patient. They went through all the options, gave their input, and listened to us. It was our first house, so we had a lot of questions and they answered all of them without making us feel belittled. We have small children, and by the end of the project we trusted them as if they were family. I could not recommend them highly enough.

Working with Mr Couturier was a pleasure. We value his expertise and knowledge. He guided us thru out this process, yet, listened to our concerns, and he was always considerate of our budget. (which was greatly appreciated). Glenn's work is superior and his craftsmanship speaks for itself. He has vision and wonderful ideas. We have just completed Phase 1 of our project. as of March 2013. Looking forward to Phase 2 - addition of Master Bedroom Suite - addition of family/great room - addtion of 2 car garage - new porch / front of house We feel so very fortunate to have been introduced to Mr Couturier and working with him. Looking forward to Phase 2 and the completion of our project with him.

Everything went wonderfully. I was out of state when the work was being done, but was kept well informed of progress. No problems. The workmanship is excellent and everything turned out beautiful. I am very happy with the results. The attention to detail is far better than I have seen with any other contractor. A great experience overall.

Drove to Maine the next day. He kept in touch and he arrived a half an hour early. He crawled through spaces that most would not dare tread. He reviewed and inspected all areas of concern. He was very honest and comforting. He pointed out that many items were not as bad as feared and also laid out a plan that would accomplish long range goals getting the place where we want it to be. He let me know that he would provide names for trustworthy specialists in the areas that need some immediate attention. There were quite a few folks there including another contractor representing the Sellers. When Glenn spoke, everyone listened. He also brought his partner, Matt Lincoln, who was very helpful. If you are looking for a contractor that is going to give it to you straight, I highly recommend Glenn and Matt of Halldale Builders. They both totally exceeded my expectations. I hope to use their services in the near and distant future.

It was a great experience from start to finish. They were always here to make sure work was getting done and they always kept me updated on a very regular basis on how things were progressing. All the builders with Halldale were very honest, knowledgable, and hard working.

Halldale Builders built our home 16 years ago. This was a new experience for us. They led us from start to finish through the entire process. They use quality material, are absolutely precise, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and the result was our dream home. Everything was timely and came in a little under cost. They are very clean workers, aware of workplace safety & cleanliness. They have done a couple other small jobs for us, and the new floors were the latest upgrade. I would recommend Halldale Builders, absolutely!! Please ask to visit our home...we love to show it off!!!
