We made an appointment for David (owner) to come out and provide an estimate for; kitchen sub-zero fridge broke down and we had long replaced with a French door type fridge - which left a huge open space above where the old compressor used to be. We were seeking some kind of cabinet in wood/glass or anything other than to look at the empty hole above. We also had a bathroom remodel that had been previously 75% done (tiles and glass doors) but needed some minor finish work done to complete the bathroom not plumbing related - since the prior guys had basically walked off the job. Since my house had issues with a bathroom specifically and a kitchen specifically and since they claim to offer and quot;complete service for your all your home projectsand quot; or as their truck states and quot;Kitchen and Bathroom Solversand quot; well, I figured these would be the guys to call. The house is located in Falmouth - so it's not like it's a long distance away. I have to presume that they like easy jobs that they can begin start to finish nothing too complicated that they would have to use their brains on - because that's what the staring was all about when at the house. He kept asking me what the prior guy did - and honestly I have no clue - I didn't stand there and watch every move the prior workers did in the house and they surely didn't come to get me every time they made a move. Sometimes the work that needs to be done - isn't the most desirable, but it still needs to get done - end of story. If you have that kind of situation save yourself the time and trouble of calling these guys and making an appointment because it will likely end up being a huge waste of your valuable time. My time is extremely valuable and had I but known, I would not have called them. I read all of the A reviews and figured it would be worthwhile. On another note - the guy showed up with filthy shoes and didn't even remotely offer to put and quot;bootiesand quot; on or even take his shoes off before walking on my kitchen floor. He also thought nothing of putting his stuff all over my kitchen counter - that I had just thoroughly cleaned as I was going to be preparing dinner shortly and typically a woman uses her kitchen counters for preparing meals. There were many other places that he could have put his stuff down within the kitchen or even the foyer - but right next to my crock pot was really in poor taste and disrespect. I'm being nice as opposed to saying that the guy was a and quot;pig.and quot; He's not the kind of guy you want doing work for you really, and when it turns out to be something that isn't a and quot;piece of cakeand quot; they'll send you an e-mail stating that they don't really do that kind of work. Really ???? Dare I ask what kind of work it is that you do, do - - - - probably sub-standard at best. Why waste my time as well as yours - when I already explained in detail over the phone before even making the appointment - - - could have told me that over the phone and I would have bypassed the entire appointment and gone to the beach!!
Description of Work: He showed up on time and stared at a lot of stuff. Made some negative comments and appeared to be somewhat disinterested overall, however it's hard to tell since it was 4:00 p.m. and I presumed he'd had a long work day and was tired. I had no way of knowing ahead of time what the outcome would be. A few days passed after his departure from our home and he sent an e-mail advising me that they didn't do that kind of work. Really ???? He also added that he did not feel "comfortable" taking on the job and as a result he would not be providing me with a bid.

David and Jim do excellent work. Dave came to the house to have a look at the kitchen and give us an estimate, I told him what I have wanted, and he made it happen. Dave gave us a start date, they started on time and worked steadily along until it was finished, he told us if he would not be there on a certain day, and returned when promised. They are so kind and answered all questions with great knowledge! Dave suggested items to us that may improved the workability of the kitchen and then made them happen. Dave arranged the flooring, and plumbing for our job, we used our own electrician. The kitchen is absolutely stunning, I wanted a and quot;cottage lookand quot;, as we live on the ocean, and we got exactly what I had asked for. Dave is always prompt on e-mails and phone calls with any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to them remodeling our master bath later this summer! I would highly recommend Kitchen Solver to anyone who wants great work, great quality and professional contractors!

I got 4 quotes for our master bath remodel. Kitchen solvers estimate was right in the middle. I was always able to get in touch with Jim if I had any questions, and his staff was always courteous. They removed an old tub, an old vanity, and put in a new shower and tile. Installed new custom cabinets, tile flooring, toilet, and other accessories (mirrors, lights, handle pulls) Jim said it would take 2 weeks, and he was spot on. A year later when a floor tile came loose, I called Jim and he was over the next day to fix it. Would recommend

He was a nice guy but we haven't heard back from him after I sent him my kitchen design. They came out and inspected the area but I never received the actual quote. I only heard from him once when he emailed me asking if I had the plans for the cabinets. When he didn't respond after several attempts to contact him I gave up. I will not use him in the future.

They were very good. They made suggestions about everything from the cabinets and the kind of design to really maximizing the space in the kitchen because we did not change the footprint of the kitchen. They were able to maximize the storage space. Their price was very competitive and was the best amongst all the companies we went to.
Description of Work: I used KS Remodeling/Kitchen Solvers to redo our kitchen and that included replacing all the kitchen cabinets, redoing the kitchen. They put ceramic tiles, did all the lighting.

Jim was recommended to me by a local tile/flooring company. Jim was not the most or least expensive guy to bid on this job. His bid in my estimate after shopping around was right where I thought it should be. He showed up on time...every time, from his initial visit to the completion. The job was started and completed when he said it would be. He kept me informed at every step. He broke his costs down and put them in writing before the job was started. His contractors, plumber and electrician, showed up when scheduled and did their work professionally as well. In the end, final costs exceeded the proposal by only $200. which was for additional plumbing. All in all, I would definitely use Jim Nicholas again for future projects.l
Description of Work: The project called for tear out of the bathtub/shower down to the studs, including removal, disposal and installing of new toilet, bath fixtures, flooring and wall, custom vanity counter, and frameless glass shower enclosure. Also required tearing out one wall and constructing a half wall plus the installation of porcelain tile in shower walls, and bathroom floor and walls. Also required relocating shower plumbing from one end of bath to opposite end, relocating the vent pipe, replacing plumbing connections under the vanity, and installing shut-off valves in piping for the shower. Also installed replaced light fixture over vanity, and installed a light over the new shower.
