Description of Work: Reviewed all of our doors & locks and made suggestions. We ended up replacing 2 locks with key code locks, rekeying the whole house to be on one key (no more wondering which key goes to which door!) and they aligned all those pesky doors that weren't closing correctly or were catching on frames or floors. Overall, complete house review. They were very professional, obviously knowledgeable, and had good suggestions...no complaints. I will use them again.

 + 0 moreThis locksmith arrived with his son (who is doing an apprenticeship with dad) and they were on time, were efficient working, cleaned up after, and even helped with some advice on other work we are getting done in the future. The door worked great and we will definitely have them back when we change over our other doors. They were very professional and friendly.
Description of Work: Replaced front door handle and installed a bolt lock, adjusted closing of door so that it didn't stick, and key-matched the new locking system to be the same key as our other doors.

 + -1 moreThey did GREAT work at a reasonable cost. There's more than most think to do a precise lock install/repair. Gary is really expert and carefully completes the smallest detail to finish the job. A total professional who even takes the time to illustrate what is being done, as long as you're interested, which I certainly was. An all "A" review is hard to get, but it's an accurate one here.
Description of Work: Gary and his associate arrived right on time to install two residential replacement locks and repair an additional door entry which I requested after they started.

 + -1 moreIf every business were as friendly, professional, seemingly personally invested into their work and eager to get the job done, the American economy would be twice the size and ten times as busy as it is now. I was completely impressed by Gary and his colleague. Interaction and follow-up was exceptional; he even called to determine if I'd like them to come a day early since they had a cancellation. How many businesses actually do that? The price was right, the work was flawless without one key of the 8 we had giving problems. All four doors took less than an hour. I just can't recommend these guys enough. You can't go wrong if you give them a try.

 + -1 moreWe had a house and some of the locks had no keys, and also we wanted new keys and locks for the older doors. What we liked about him is that right away he said yes I would come to your house and I do everything right out of my van and it would be done within an hour. We had a stone door in the front and other people would say that they can't get a key for that, and he said it's no problem. He took out the lock and the changed it inside his van. He did five doors and he gave us the keys and it was all done within about an hour and he was very reasonably priced. He is a nice guy and doesn't go on chatting, but he is very personable and he listens to what you want and does his job.

Description of Work: I called Freedom Locksmiths (Portland number not Sanford number listed) and spoke with Gary who I believe was the owner. I explained that I had just purchased a new house and wanted the locks changed that day if possible. He was able to schedule me in and gave me an hour time frame. He was running late but called to tell me he would be late. Gary was able to do change all the locks and deadbolts on all of my doors and install a bar for my slider. He was extremely knowledgable, neat and did an excellent job. He made sure that I would feel safe and secure in my new home. I would hire Gary again in a second!
