+ -1 moreDave Spofford is a good roofer. He completed maybe 95 percent of the roof and that part is fine. The terms for payment were 50% up front, balance at the end of the job. Pictures were provided at the end of the job, or so I believed. Another contractor on my property related a month later that the old shingles remained on one section of roof. Mr. Spofford has been contacted numerous times in the past year to correct his error without success. I’m lucky that portion of the roof is not experiencing leaks for now. This was an oversight and easily correctable, All Mr. Spofford needs to do is finish the job he began over a year ago.

Dave rearranged his jobs to start my job earlier than he originally thought. Very responsive, informative. Set mmy and my wife’s mind at ease in all aspects of this job. Thank you, Dave!

Description of Work: They did great!!! This is the 2nd roof we've had to put on in the last 3 years. The last company, Casco Bay Home Improvements, was a disaster! Our roof leaked even before they finished, and after 3 years our homeowners insurance was threatening to cancel us if we didn't get it fixed. Dave got us in quickly - put on ice and water shield, used the correct type of shingle for the pitch of the roof, and replaced boards that had rotted (none of which Casco Bay did). He and his partner actually did the work - it wasn't subcontracted (unlike Casco Bay).Most importantly, Dave put up with me, and my constant hovering. He understood my concerns about getting taken again. Biggest compliment I can give him - we've hired him to side our barn. Repeat business is the most reliable positive review you can have :)
